YES! I got IT band syndrome from a run back in December (I hadn't been running due to a broken rib in November, so once I was able to run again, I over did it and ran 3.5 miles at once and got a bad pain on the outside of my knee). I thought I had a bruise or something but the pain wasn't going away, and would hurt like hell during exercise and would stiffen up. I had never heard of IT band syndrome before and all the searches on the internet had me believing I had a torn tendon or meniscus or something. Finally went to the doctor and he said i have ITBS.

I have been doing stretches like this one and using a foam roller which are helping. Took some time off from training too.

Heres a good routine for the problem. At the end are a few for rectifying the problems it can cause further up. Also when doing the Plyometric exercise, with the Heels, turn the Feet in as far as you can.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xEOYMP7QnDI
