Kiwis Jackson & Berridge

Post by Da Voice »

I wonder why Jackson's scheduled NZPBA super middle title defence & Berridge's challenge for vacant NZPBA light heavy title has been ditched??

Maybe you should pm Craig. Personally I reckon they've got bigger fish to fry (for the time being.)

Jackson ain't fighting on the card & why would (win or lose) interfere with Berridge's challenge for NZ title??

Bet my balls, PABA's "Special Permit" http://www.pabaonline.com/regulations/g ... es.html#12 had something to do with Jackson's NZ title defence. Who's gonna cough-up such fee....Jackson or promoter??
IMO, this will stuff up his overall activity in NZ & OZ

Here is a fab article on a successful PABA champ http://hills-and-valley-messenger.where ... s-on-hold/
Be farked if I know, how Terry & Dianever can see light at the end of the tunnel? I told Foxy he's being conned, but he failed to take notice.

If you are seriously betting your balls Anton you have just lost them.

PABA have nothing to do with the reason why June 29th has been postponed. Jacksons opponent Adrian Taihia phoned me to say he needs a urgent operation on his knee which would leave him out of training for 6 weeks, therefore ruling him out of June 29. We have agreed upon a new date for Jackson Vs Taihia, which will allow Taihia enough time to recover from surgery and get himself in shape to fight. Berridge as we all know is scheduled to meet Caparello, yes technically he could fight again June 29th, but with Jackson Vs Tahia being ruled out already we were then in a position where Berridge could get injured himself, cut, stopped and in no position to fight come June 29th basically rendering the June 29th show useless. Of course I wish him all the best and hope he gets the W in Melbourne but as a promoter it made sense for us to postpone the show to a later date so we can feature both Berridge and Jackson on the same card. As it stands i think you'll find Berridge has another big fight opportunity not long after the June 29th date in anycase one id never deny him.

I'am now concentrating on my smaller July 27th Card which will feature Jason Williams, Anthony Taylor and one other pro bout.
