Impressed with the Welsh result well done guys.

Even mroe impressed by Scotland holding the mighty Italy to a draw.

Walter Smith seems to have got the guys working together. Its been a long time coming.

There was nothing with that last manager (Berti Vogts) The team just didn't jell together, there was no harmony in the dressing room.

Some of the bigger named Scots refused to play under Vogts.


Good to see Walter has them singing out the same hymn book and if the result against Norway goes our way we might just make it to the Finals.

Mr Charisma has been an absolute God send. If Berti had done the right thing and left before the qualifying began we could be in a more comfortable position.

Good result on Saturday, although you just knew it would be backs to the wall 2nd half and almost innevitable they'd get a goal (or two.)

Hate to be pessemistic, but I honestly don't think we'll make the finals this time. Although Norway blow hot and cold, I don't think we can go to Oslo (or wherever it is) and get 3 points. And Norway have a pretty easy run in I think.

Anyway, things are certainly on the up. Hopefully Saturday's heroics will put us up the rankings ahead of the mighty Burkino Faso and the likes. And if we can push for a seedings boost for the Euro qualifiers, develop some of the youngsters, we're on the up

We've got a long way to go if we want to compete in any major championships. We've had pluses this season with gabbidon and collins playing in the premiership but with senior players being overlooked and retiring its cancelled itself out.

1-0 a good result (for us) but international football is so damned boring.

I thought Vogts was a very brave Manager who might not get the credit he deserves. He decided to get rid of the Craig Brown's old guard and bring in youngsters like Fletcher etc when many managers might have stuck with the 30+ players like Burley etc. He was building for the future and now many of these players have gone through one championship campaign (reaching the playoff - beating Holland at home also) and are now experienced internationals.

I do agree though there was obvious disharmony in the end (I think it all started with that away leg drubbing vs Holland) and he definately needed to go. However, I think he took Scotland at a transitional and his reign was needed if not successful.

Wales are experiencing a similar transition time with Toshack now, we have one of our better player's not being selected because of a fall out and it wouldn't suprise me if Bellamy did the same as he is big mates with Savage and a loose cannon.

I would rather be the Scottish coach than the Welsh coach now, I think there are some good Scots lad coming through at last.

Problem is though, Collins and Fletcher haven't made an appearance for West Ham this season and barring injuries are unlikely to. Ferdinand junior looks the business aswell at the back for the Hammers.

This is true although I fell training with the right players (sherringham and co) will be very benefitial to their long term future.

I actually discussed the Sibson-Minter fight with Parkes back in 81. Didn't know Robert Plant was a Wolves fan, figured he supported Albion since he was born in West Bromwich. Kevin Rowland, and Slade (who once played at Molineaux) I believe were also from Wolverhampton.

What a result. What a result. Walter Smith is a legend. As is Ally McCoist. And Tommy Burns. ASnd the hole squaf.

Assuming we don't lose 4-0 to Moldova, we're going to win the World Cup .
