Saf it was just a matter of time before you for you to make your opinion (we are very similar). Yes your right it could be easy but AA Lowe is Hungry and he is a two weight Champion!
Come on Mcato, your clutching at straws now, 2 weight champion ? sounds like you are talking about a pound 4 pound king, not someone who has won a couple of british masters titles against fellow journeymen. Ochieng is a very good fighter and as the English champion he should be fighting the best young prospects, to decide who deserves to move up to british level.

Lowe deserves a shot he always puts up a good fight deserves credit for winning his titles and u know he will go out there and give 100% cuz that's what he is like

wats wrong with the following lads with good records.
ball 13-0-2 (stopped lowe in mids title fight)
al harbi ( fought ball in eliminator tech draw drew to cut) 13-0-1
costello 10-0-1
smith 9-0-1
doran 10-0
selkirk 8-0
all ranked above lowe and all undefeated
There could be an argument for each of these fighters. Some of them due to promoters will not fight on certain bills like Selkirk and Smith Doran is going through his personal issues and has fought for ages costello has really fought anyone, but when you look at the likes of Brian Rose fighting Carslaw who loss his last fight in a British eliminator that is crazy and that fight will be a main event on Sky. Hearn will not let Erick and a 1st defence of his belt away from home in the challenging boxers den to a top 5 contender

the only reason lowe got the fight was cause his a nottingham lad. no disrespect to lowe but he shouldnt b in this fight. i saw him fight ball showed great heart but was outclassed and stopped in 8 rounds ( i think it was). ochieng will stop stop him late on imo. personaly i think its a disgrace carlsaw fighting rose, hall won a elim and gets another against webb (tough fight) carlsaw lost and gets a shot. ochieng should b in line to fight rose why not try to make that fight
I agree with this post

Of course you would Saf but at the same time you know how boxing is and sometimes you do see the fights you want to.

Agreed with this really hope they get a decent opponent in for Frampton, I really like him and think he can go a long way but they've been talking him up a lot and so now need to back it up by putting him in with a well known/good quality opponent and proving it.

I am sure Erick would fight anyone put in front of him, but the Promoter and matchmaker make the decisions and they want to get their fighter in the best position with the least risk in the meantime.

Yes Saf you are 100% right. Due to Sky dropping Hatton Matchroom will have more dates which could mean more implications for matchroom boxers

Not sure what in my post suggests I'm not looking forward to Ochiengs fight, as I was commenting on Frampton, but for the record yes I am. Thought him v Quigg was brilliant entertainment with one of the odder looking ends to a fight I've seen live.

Im not strange I just enjoy when your involved in a thread and I know all i have to do is mention Nasser ...And then you appear! Jokes a side I wouldn't mind Erick fighting Nasser because nobody enjoys 1 sided fights and lets face it everyone knew Rose would beat Maxwell on points and it could be the same with Erick & Lowe, however Lowe is a 2 weight Champion

I think if Lowe gets injured or pulls out Nasser would be a great replacement as its been stop and start for him this season. Very frustrating

After Ochieng's last fight aren't you looking forward to his fight?
Not sure what in my post suggests I'm not looking forward to Ochiengs fight, as I was commenting on Frampton, but for the record yes I am. Thought him v Quigg was brilliant entertainment with one of the odder looking ends to a fight I've seen live.
Yep! would love to see Erick fight Nasser Al Harbi but I think Erick's in a different class
In your dreams MCATO, we took an eliminator to fight Ochieng, his camp got round an eliminator to go straight for the title, less risk, then they ignored those around him to take the easy route, that shows what confidence they have in Ochieng, if they believed in him they would face anyone, don't matter what you think, you have nothing to lose, you come over a bit strange at times, like how you would like Ochieng to fight Al Harbi, then you claim he is a different class, I would not want Nasser to fight someone who is a lower class boxer if it was up to me, man you are strange !
I know you like a bit of fun Mcato and trying to wind up me is part of it, it is all a bit of banter to liven up the day, on a serious note Al Harbi V Ochieng would be a great fight, both highly skilled, both fast, both young and fresh, these are the fights we need, but I do understand the avoidance though, much better to get an easy defense first then maybe a shot at Rose for the British title, Ochieng could win that one, then maybe the fight could happen with Nas for a more worthwhile title.
This day and age the best boxers do noe have to face each other. I wonder what boxing would be like if there was only 1 boxing body
Come on Saf where are You?
Trying to get a new match up, if Lowe pulls out with injury give us a shout, I agree with your other comment.
I think if Lowe gets injured or pulls out Nasser would be a great replacement as its been stop and start for him this season. Very frustrating
September will be Ericks big chance to fight for British or Common wealth belt

Heard Bute has infected leg then he should be OK. I hope this bill is not cancelled like so many this year already.
