O'Kane won the tournament but was terrible to watch, just barged and barrelled his way through. JJ McDonagh looked a tidy and classy boxer. Referee in the final was shocking.

I get the feeling he knew he was the best in the field so thought he could just walk through them and with all fairness he did.

O'Kane seemed to love dishing the rough stuff but when they did it to him he complained. Chop Chop is looking.

People seem to think so Yiddo, his odds are tumbling.

McCloskey struggling a bit here. Chop Chop looks fairly composed.

he is favourite now on 8/11
Re: Kane v Fitzgerald prizefighter
I doubt it tbh, he might outbox O'Kane for a while, but over that long a distance O'Kane would catch him, and with O'Kane's power that'd likely cause serious problems for McDonagh, who's chin still has to be somewhat of a question after the ko loss to Tolan (as good a shot as it was).BIGMARK wrote:I would like to see the final again with a different ref and over 10 or 12 IMO JJ would win
I think Sky were extremely biased against O'Kane in the final aswell, both men weren't exactly clean in there, but they singled in on O'Kane's tactics, and repeatedly mentioned the refs disagreements with infringements McDonagh made. They certainly made things seem a lot worse than they were.
Re: Kane v Fitzgerald prizefighter
Personally I thought McDonagh was harshly treated. He was grabbing but what can you do when you get a head-down bulldozer coming at you every few seconds?
