WHAT THE HELL IS CARL THOMPSON DOING??

Post by overhand_right »

The 41 yr olds really taken advantage of his shock win over David Haye.

Its been one week short of a YEAR since he scored the upset & hes done fornicate all.

With such a dull division why didnt he try for a crack in the US for a world title. Or is he one of hundreds of UK fighters who want to stagnate in small halls in Britain for 'WBshit' belts?

PS while im moaning (im having to work 5 hours today to pay for taking bank holiday monday off at short notice) there are FOUR stickys & 2 announcements at the top of the british forum. Doesnt anyone think its looking at bit fornicating cluttered? Sometimes i think you moderators do things like this purely because you can, not for the benefit of the forum.

Cheers.

Hey simmer down!.... :x  8) .
Thompson has probably been waiting for a decent payday.... perhaps a rematch with either Haye or Rothmann.

Most of the stickys are up there because people who are not moderators ask them to be stickyed...your never on here anymore anyway so why do you care so much.

Thompson was ordered to defend his belt against Rothman but due to a injury that fight never happened.
Which carl felt that if David Haye had beaten him he would not of had to of defended against Rothman.
Carl is highley Ranked by some of the major governing bodies inc Ibf where i think Carl feels he should be fighting for a Final eliminator or a title shot for that belt.
Also fight Academy do not seemed to have been pushing Carls claims for a eliminator or title shot as much as say David Haye if he were to of beat carl wierd seeing they seem to be working well with the IBF regards Clinton Woods.

Hey leave him alone.

He's 41 and achieved way more than most others have or will.

He's waiting for a decent payday and he deserves it.

People constantly starting threads with subject lines in capital letters doesn't help the overall look of the forum either.

Thats true with the meet idea and I will probably be removed a few days after the meet.

The British rankings that I do have been there for years, first complaint on that score.

I created the for sale/wanted/trades thread to SAVE on clutter if people want to plug their tapes/DVD they SHOULD (and most do) use that thread only.

The two announcements are pretty important and I think us mods should leave the decision to John about whether to remove them or not.

It would be nice to see Thompson get 1 last crack at a title

In other news - Jones (who was robbed against Nelson when Jonny didnt throw anything for 8 rounds) controversally stops Big TRuck. Jones is aweful in my opinion, he wasn't special when he started at Welter

I read somewhere that Thompson has been injured for a while. No surprise at his age I guess!
