I cant wait to watch you try to squirm your way out of this one, Darling. You are unflinchingly wrong, of course, but Im sure I wont be the only one to enjoy watching you explain what you, "meant"

Have you PM'd Cap and his ilk yet with your amazing discovery that Dempey (and probably Makepeace) were WBA champions.

Don't PM me, Irene, PM the record keepers here and inform them that the Dempey - Tunney bouts should be shown as WBA title bouts.

After all, according to you and the other simpleton Klompy, it was formed in 1921!

The internet has a lot to answer for. A fekwad like you posing as a boxing expert and a fekwad like him and his fantasy book about Greb.

Hahahahahahaha. 1921! You bloody eejit.
You must have no idea then the NBA changed there name from national to world hence WBA

Was Dempsey the WBA champion or not Adam? It seems the record keepers think you and Irene are just making low grunting noises. Again.

I just checked on this. The WBA started in 1921, under the name NBA.
You wouldn't know how to check if you'd wiped your arse, boy.

Does "checking" mean you swallowed what you read on a wikipedia article?

"Our organisation was born as the NBA in 1921..."

But, hey, what do they know?

Irene, I can't see Dempsey listed as WBA champion yet, boy.

Have you not PM'd Cap etc with your amazing discovery?

Why dont you tell us the year the WBA was formed then, Collie?

Have you PM'd their site about the mistake in their history section?

1962

But keep the PM's coming; I'll eagerly await one that confirms Cap & co have updated Dempsey's record to show all his WBA Heavyweight title defences.

According to this logic, someone born in 1921 who changed their name in 1962 didnt exist in the years preceding their name change. LOL.

The name didnt exist until 1962...the org has been around since 1921.

I knew you'd entertain trying to defend your position...and you didnt disappoint, girl :TU:

Poor analogy.

Try this one.

Was the USA founded in 1776 when the 13 english colonies declared a new name and a new constitution (as happened with the foundation of the WBA in 1962) or should we talk about the USA being founded in 1607 with the establishment of the colony in Jamestown?

If you think the the latter, then after PMing Cap to get Dempsey's record changed to show his WBA title fights, you better email Obama and put him right too.

I'll be doing that when you PM the WBA to tell them they've mistaken their own history.

"Poor analogy." LMAO. Its as exact as analogies get. I mentioned earlier you were a catch on the line. What we've just seen in your last post reminds me of a squid shooting a load of ink to attempt to muddy the waters. Trouble is, you're already caught, bagged, and in the process of getting carved up :TU:

I do admire your obstinance. It is as plain as the psychological disturbances in your old PM's begging me to show up for a fight that you simply thought the WBA was formed in 1962, not just the name. Good on you, though, for trying till the bitter end.

Who's for calamari? :DD

Yes, an analogy comparing a person to an organisation would be a good analogy for a person who has only reached the intellectual level required to stand on a door checking tickets.

Mine too.

Cos it shows what a newbie you really are.

Look, I gotta go out, it's a Friday night and unlike you I have people to see and things to do.

So tonight, while you are trawling the net alone again, here's a task for you. See if you can find out what the WBA started doing in 1962 that the old NBA had never done before. It's actually quite interesting and even a knucklehead like you will understand the importance of it.

Speaking of your escapades out and about, Carly, how about that time I finally relented to your pleas for a meeting in real life, and had you drive from your place to Bondi so we could settle our differences, only for you to show up and me to lie floor-bound laughing my ass off at your abusive message for not showing up!? Holy shit, Im pissing myself remembering that one :DD

You're going out...at 6.45pm?

Look out for this party devil. He tears up the Bingo tables all the way to the brink of 10pm :TU:

The WBA was the NBA before they changed their name you "fooking" moron. Its funny that you are tossing around insults at people out of your own ignorance.

"The original sanctioning body of professional boxing, the World Boxing Association can be traced back to the original National Boxing Association, organized in 1921; the first bout recognized by the organization being the Jack Dempsey-Georges Carpentier Heavyweight Championship bout in New Jersey, USA."

"In 1962 the NBA, with the growth of boxing's popularity worldwide, changed its name to the World Boxing Association. The organization remained mainly American until 1974, however. In that year, two Panamanian boxing figures named Rodrigo Sanchez and Elias Cordova manipulated the WBA rules to give a majority of votes to nations in Latin America."

Find another thread to troll on.

As much as I think GI's a cock at times, he's right on this.

Any boxing book will tell you the same thing - The NBA changed their name to the WBA. Page 50 of the last IBHOF book for those that like a proper source rather than wiki.

I'll accept I am wrong if the NBA merely changed its name to the WBA in 1962.

If they changed their constitution, which they did, then I stand by my statement that it is not the same organisation.

Klompy, maybe you as a wannabe author, can tell us, the main thing the WBA started doing at this time that the old NBA had never done...

Maybe you could post this alleged series of PMs, Irene?

If not, we'll have to assume you are lying again.

Either that or Klompy publishes his Greb book...

I dont speak for the growing number of people lining up in this thread to tell you you're wrong, but I know I want you to do no such thing...I want you to keep me amused with this gravy train of unintentional humour you've so magnificently (and yet so cluelessly, at the same time) crafted :DD

As long as it includes a record section showing all The Pittburgh Windmill's WBA title defences, Klompy, I'll be after a signed copy!

(Do me a favour and tell Irene and his lap dog how the WBA changed the face of boxing in 1962 cos they have no fooking idea.)

What do the publishers of the IBHOF book know? They're just as clueless as the WBA themselves. Ask the great man, he'll tell you.

Good on you, Collie, for making a show of pretending you didnt hopelessly believe all along the WBA org began in the 60's
