They were shot and both retired after fighting de Mori.
Maybe Mark convinced them they should retire. How do you define "shot?" Many good fighters have lean stretches.
I dig your sense of humur Brute

Mahone did not retire straight after losing to de Mori. He was considered good enough to fight Ustinov who was 19-0 at the time.

good enough to fight ustinov?

But it is a problem if de Mori fights the same fighters?

Beating Mahone got de Mori onto the under cards of two major World title fights in the USA and he won both those fights by KO.

Your humor is breaking me up Bute :TU:

Mahone fought Ustinov a year later. Was assaulted and retired.

Do you enjoy being a total arsehole? How many heavyweights have got a record as good as de Mori?

18-1-2 with 16 KOs. If you think you can do better go and find yourself a trainer.

poor comeback, lol.

demori has fought mostly bums. there is no defending it imo.

show some nuts and he will earn respect. he will get bagged until he steps up.

people r sick of talk and potential, and stories of how hard he trains. its getting old.

its a hard game trying to be a successful boxer but u r judged on your results. his is mediocre. i think the dude has ability, but when r we gunna see him prove it to us?

Yeah, that's right, isn't it? You can just whistle and World rated fighters will come half way around the World to fight a bloke who has KOed most of his opponents.

Hard to tell when you are serious and when you taking the piss

You were heading down the path of saying di Mori nipped Calloway's career in the bud earlier. Now that would have been really funny. Keep up the laughs :TU:

Perhaps you'd like to tell me how good this guy with the terrible record he's about to fight is.

yet more poor excuses.

plenty of other aussies in the last few years have pulled their finger out and worked their way up the rankings and fought for world titles or have faced world rated fighters etc. etc.

start fighting guys worthy of getting fans respect. not just talking.

what is he waiting for?

Is de Mori out of contract with Don King? Both his fights in the USA were on Don King cards after King swept him up with many other young heavyweights with all kinds of promises. King seems to have "warehoused" many of these fighters. With Kings influence and battery of lawyers it is hard for fighters to escape him.

On facebook de Mori says he is, But also reading comments he clearly states he is waiting to be resigned from Don King.
Which leaves me to believe he (de Mori) can fight anyone he wants to until King comes to the table.

How about Welliver? His last opponent ( Bert Cooper) is about ready for a pension. de Mori did a more convincing job on Calloway than Welliver did.

Cooper and Calloway are both about ready for a pension and should have retired years ago :TU:

Calloway is 42, Cooper is 46.

Bert Cooper challenged Evander Holyfield for the World Title in 1991.

It's got just as much to do about how many fights you've had and how many hits to the head you've taken as it has about biological age.

Calloway had 91 fight to Cooper's 66. Both have taken way too many beatings. It's not a competition between the two. Just simply that both should have retired years ago :TU:

He definitely did :TU:

The point I was making is both should have retired years ago. Recent wins over either don't count for 5h1t.

Cooper would have taken punishment from fighters like Moorer, Holyfield and Foreman that aged him.

No argument from me :TU:

The point I am making is both should have retired years ago. They have just been punching bags in recent times.

i meant what i said.

shame about marks opponent. when is this guy gunna step up?

he is fighting a punching bag at a western sydney suburban club.

i know fighters have to stay busy, but this guy should be on some decent cards imo.

i wonder who is helping to steer him tbh. he is treading water and going nowhere it seems.
