Wouldn't read too much into this three fights comment - he'll probably end up having another ten - win, lose or draw.

Like most boxers, he'll find it hard to step out of the limelight - there's always another big payday round the corner.

Hate to be pulled into this horseshit, but:
Allegedly wrote:When Ricky signed a bout agreement for Olivera, one of the clauses was that he agreed with the terms of the November letter.
Were those terms in that clause in that Oliviera contract exactly the same as in the letter? Because if they weren't and Ray Hatton has ripped up the original, most concentrated 'deal', then the agreement would be mostly verbal. And we all know from all the big fight flops of the past few years how much verbal agreements are worth... Some duplicity by Ray Hatton here appears to have caught Warren out.

Hatton is not stupid, neither is Warren , so that makes all this sound personal, Ricky has had the most influental promoter in Britain take him to the top, and baby him all the way milking the public dry and Hatton getting rich whilst Warren gets richer.

Now there at the top , they split WHY, Ok Hatton probably thinks he's worth more money , and he claims to have spoken to the big boys King ect.But these big boys only promote BIG FIGHTS.

Now Hatton is meeting Masua but under King and Arum it would be the other big players , Mayweather, Zab, or a rematch with Zoo he's already stated he don't want Zoo or Mayweather or Witter so who the fack does he want , Could it be the reason he has not gone with King ect, .

Its a tricky one and theres probably a lot more in it, cos facts are Warren can only deliver, if the fighter can generate the interest , against the right oponent Ricky can , hence Zoo could get the biggest payday of his carreer, that matched and beat anything the yanks had payed him , but to get that big money, that Zoo got from Warren. Hatton has to have the big fights, and Warren has proved it can be generated in England against the right opponent.

But how can Warren generate the money if Hatton don't want to fight Witter or Mayweather or Zoo, Hatton has proved he can be demanding he demanded a big fight , he's now leaving, so personally I have never blamed Warren 100% for the shite fights we put up with , Ricky was then and his now just has much to blame.

Nope lot more to this than meets the eye , personally i have a sneaky feelings Hatton has demanded the big money but don't want the big fights, why else is he fighting in Sheffield and not Vegas

Perhaps he feels he needs to stay busy while all this shit is going on, the deal with Hobson is for 1 fight is it not?

Just because he's signed with Hobson for one fight, it doesn't mean he won't look to a US promoter longer term.

Boxingchat, you've conceded that you don't kow the issues behind the argument, so therefore why do you choose to side with FW? Would it not make more sense to reserve judgement until you know the facts?

Ricky hasn't demanded that allegedly Warren betters the offers from elsewhere, but simply get somewhere near them.

One of my mates who happens to be the biggest cynic I know and not much of a boxing fan said to me this morning "imagine if they were doing all this to generate a bit of publicity". I don't believe that for one minute but I can't remember the last time there was this much interest in boxing from the non fans and the newspapers.

It's certainly not a publicity stunt.

This is all very worrying, do courts routinely hand out injunctions where there are contractual disputes, surely this would be restriction of trade pending a court case.

I know it's happened many times in America before, but I don't recall too many examples here.

All these distractions could wreck Rickys career, what if he is unable to defend his title due to litigation, could prove to be the worst career move he ever made. He needs to be back in the ring this year and not have a protracted break.

No I know it's not but interesting this gets plenty of column inches for boxing and the man on the street talking about it.

I just hope it is resolved quickly. If Warren had a clearcut case which from the evidence so far appears not to be the case, then he could probably get an injunction. But as its not so clearcut I can't see it happening.

I can quite believe KO Artist is able to back up what he says, I know he's not daft. But I can also understand why someone like boxingchat gets exasperated when he comes along and sees the throw-away speculation that is rife on these message boards.

At some point even the most hardcore boxing fan has to admit that there's going to be shit he just doesn't know about and never will.

Why is he fighting at Sheffield Arena and co-promoting the fight with Dennis Hobson? Perhaps his value of himself, like yours, is slightly over inflated. Just a thought!
My valuation is not inflated it is based on fact.

The arena the fight takes place is not crucial to what the fighter gets paid.

In big fights like these TV pays purses, not crowds.

The arena ha a lot ot do with it - as your power to sell tickets makes you an attraction = bigger payday.

TV Pays it part as younsay.

Even Hatton would not get £2.5M for fighting at a Leisure centre holding 1500 people!

MEN gate takes over a £1M when Hatton fights.

Hatton was Warren cash cow of course he does not want to lose him.

If there no agreement in place I think Ricky making the right decsion imo.
Ricky gets the crowds in the MEN arena not Warren.

Because he seems to be looking at it subjectively. Whereas you, being Hatton's mate are not. You are so far up his arse you must have sweetcorn on your nose!
