From Ashley:

"Steve Williams has pulled out of our fight on Saturday stating he is injured. Waiting on Frank Maloney to get me a replacement #ColdFeet"

Two good shouts. Frankie Gavin, while perhaps unrealistic given the promotional difficulties involved, would be a good shout too.

I was really looking forward to this fight myself and took alot of persuading to pull out. I have had a great 10 week training camp but unfortunately picked up a chest infection during the last week. Im hoping this fight will be on at a later date as not only do i want the title i want to beat Theophane! Sorry to the people looking forward to this fight and thanks for the support

Maloney has a show on Sky from Manchester on June 2nd, could it not be rescheduled if Williams is the mandatory? It's only a couple of weeks away and not so far from Liverpool for those who have bought tickets just to see this one

Id be happy if the fight could be rearranged for 2nd June. Few days off training then straight back at it. I will be in contact with my manager today so maybe it can still go ahead in Blackpool

Devastated for you Ste.

Hopefully they get you in with Theopane sooner rather than later. Chin up.

I feel sorry for Ahsley Theopane he got aload of stick for avoiding this fight and its Williams that pulls out on the week of the fight (not saying its not genuine)Can't see Theopane wanting to hang around i think he'll fight Saturday against maybe Darren Hamilton then vacate and move on which leaves Williams to fight the winner of Woodhouse v Miles

Hamilton would seem quite a logical choice, with Williams out, Too short notice for Woodhouse, Ash won't want Anwar at this short notice and Daws is also out, not a lot left and think Hamilton has
the Southern Area and Masters if memory serves, he seems to have improved a bit of late but its a huge ask, although Theophane can under-perform at time during a fight and perhaps that would let Hamilton get a couple of rounds under his belt and who knows, hard to see past Theophane if they make this.

Yep, can you imagine the grief a certain poster would be giving Theophane if the roles had been reversed?

Your not talkin about my mate Fasteddie are ya? Haha
Goodluck to Theophane. Hopefully the fight can be rearranged.
I had to pull out against Michael Grant due to illness and missed out on a place in prizefighter, that was bad but this is even worse. Ive trained so hard for this fight for it to be ruined in the last couple of weeks. Hopefully the wait isnt too long til i get another shot
