His last fight was two months ago. How many 12 round fights a year do you want from him?

Floyd Mayweather goes for more than a year without a fight and nobody comments.

Floyd is the most extablished boxer getting around. He has millions of $$ and has won titles in just about every weight possible.

He has very little need to provie himself and therefore little need to fight very often.

Drawing an analogy between PBF and DIB is ridiculous to say the least.

There are some strong rumours circulating on this side of the country that he will be fighting around July, hence why I asked the question !!

What does that have to with time between fights? Billy Dib has fought three title fights in the last twelve months, another fight by July 29 would make it four in one year. Do you want him to get killed?

The Brunker fight is interesting, but clearly Dib will stop him, i still want to see this fight, just wish Brunker's team were smart enough to get him a few more good opponenets before challenging for the title.

Still want to see this.

Im not saying it is bright to fight that many times in a year, but I also dont see an issue with it if you are not being hurt in bouts. Billy knows what is good for him, and as I said rumours have it that he is fighting in the near future. Simply asking if there was any noise on the east coast about an upcoming bout.

Dib has said he would fight Chris John if a match could be made. John's most recent fight was two weeks ago in Singapore and it went the distance, so he would be looking for a rest before fighting again.

He wont get the John fight. John and his camp will simply price themselves out of the fight.
I reckon July could be Billy's next bout.

Dibster would carve Joel up into pieces DIB has grown into a veryy veryy good fighter and is ibf champ , Brunker Is just in the prospect category not yet tested and hasn't fought any one really to be getting a shot at DIB anyways don't think that fight would happen ..

There is nothing on Dib's site about an upcoming fight.

Ramadan starts on 20 July this year, ending on August 18. As a devout Muslim if Dib is going to fight between now and then he would have to announce it pretty soon.

I want to see Dib fight a few of the top Asians, currently ranked 2 by the IBF, there's Philo Rey Bautista, another convincing KO win will keep the fire lit with the public.

What does it have to do with time between fights? I think it was clear...PBF has established himself as the elite fighter in the worl and has millions of dollars, therefore HE DOES NOT NEED TO FIGHT OFTEN.

Dib is relatively unknown, has not proven himself at the elite level and is not financially secure for life, therefore HE NEEDS TO FIGHT MORE OFTEN to obtain those things.

Now do you see what that has to do with time between fights?

Dib is an IBF World champion. It is not my fault if some dickheads don't know who he is.

so is Takalani Ndlovu but that don't mean much now does it.

I am glad you can at least see the connection between my post and the length between fights now though.

No he isn't, Jeffrey Mathebula took his super bantamweight title off him in March.

By the way, Pacman is probably better known worldwide than Mayweather and he only fights twice a year.

Well there you go. I have not see him either of them fight nor have I heard of them, other then their boxrec records. I must be a dickhead by your criteria as I don't know them and they have held IBF titles.

Pacman may or may not be as well known as PBF but in any event neither of them have to fight regularly if they don't want to. It's really up to them. I am glad Pacman fights 2 times a year and I wish PBF would.

As discussed, Dibb is not comparable to Mayweather nor should he be compared Pacman. Their recent fights are ALWAYS big money fights. Dibb on the other hand should definitley be fighting twice a year, if not more, because his fights recently have been against mid-low level opponents (as compared with PBF's or Pac's opponents).

He has fought three times in the past twelve months, the last being less than three months ago.
