WEEKEND RESULTS FROM WWW.VIPBOXING.COM

KEVIN SATCHELL - Put in a near faultless performance in becoming the Flyweight Commonwealth Champion beating the brave Paul Edwards who suffered a fractured jaw for his efforts. Kevin shown a composure far beyond his age and 7 fight experience and will only get better for it , hopes now to box Chris Edwards for the British next time out.

TERRY FLANNIGAN – Moved to 14-0 and became the English Super-Featherweight champion by beating the very durable Dougie Curran who was game but unfortunately for him outclassed.

LOUIS CUDDY – The Liverpool Cruiserweight had a 1st round stoppage with a perfect left hook body shot that split his foreign opponent in half.

SAM OMIDI – The light-Middleweight from Moston having his 2nd pro contest beat the reliable Billy Smith on points

TOMMY COYLE – Moved to 12-0 with a 2nd round stoppage of a polish southpaw and fights again on the 1st June before his English title challenge in September.

SHAYNE SINGLETON – Also moved to 12-0 with an impressive performance over trying journeyman Mark McKray - Shayne is now ready for a test in the light-welterweight division and we should see him on a charge for titles in the new season.

JOHN QUIGLEY – Had his first 6 round contest against the decent Scott Moise but was never troubled as he moved to 7-0 and looks one for the future , his style of fighting with low hands is marmite with the punters – some love it and others hate it – but up to now it has been effective.

ALEX RUTTER - Pro debut for the youngster from Olham and beat the ‘Peter Pan’ of the sport Delroy Spencer on points.

I wonder how easily Satchell makes weight. He looked really good vs Edwards i must admit.

Tommy Coyles level of opposition has not been very good but he's done 10 twice. Gethin should beat him for the title though.
