They have to, after there fight both there professional records will change, it's not illegal and it's sanctioned. As stated before the bbbc don't own boxing.

I agree but if the board don't sanction it then that means they dnt recognise it as a legal show and ther for to the board it's as official as an unlicensed show up the road surely?

I guess it doesn't matter.

A bit like in America, a fight might not be sanctioned by the state of Nevada but it might be sanctioned by the state of Wisconsin or whatever - it is still a professional fight that has been sanctioned and should appear on the boxers record.

Kell - you boxed a 3 rounder in Cyprus on a prizefighter type bill. That appears on boxrec - was that fight specifically sanctioned by the BBof C ?

I don't think there is a problem as long as the fight is not vetoed by the local boxing board. In this case of course the BBBoC are refusing to sanction a fight on their turf due to one fighter not having a license and the other being banned.

Both Haye and C Will NOT be Liscened by the BBBC so they cant fine them anything, and it will go down on there Record because it aint an illegal fight,
The show will Licensed just Not under the BBBC....

Quite possibly on the result (like we have done for numerous unsanctioned fights in the past), but it won't be placed on the Boxrec schedule.

I think its more a query as to if the fight should be on his record if they are continuing to not acknowledge Haye vs Chisora , as if they refuse to acknkowledge that then they should have done the same to his Biggers better fight as it wasnt recognised by the board or vice versa they should recognise the Haye v Chisora bout if they want the bout on Lees record .

Perhaps Macho, but I think a bit of naivity could be part of the problem - Not saying Kells shouldn't have made more enquiries, but these bouts are televised, largely promoted as sanctioned bouts and the results of previous Biggers Better goes on the fighters record.

Not really saying it as an excuse, but something doesn't sit right that a boxer fights in another country under the impression it is all above board - doesn't win the tournament (I wonder how much the losers get paid) and then comes home to a slap accross the wrist and a fine. Yes, the BBBoC were in the right but I cannot help feel sorry for Kells.

Added to that, although not really relevant, that Eddie Hearn used Airich's continued entry into the Biggers Better thingy in his promotion of his international prizefighter - seeming to legitimise it further. Again, Eddie did nothing wrong but it confuses the hell into most people as to if they are sanctioned or not.

Fine was paid doesn't mean I'm happy bout it and I didnt say I shudnt of been!! Just think at my end hundreds was extreme, and having it on my record makes me look like Iv fought in illegal fights so either put it on as a proper fight or take it off!! And the biggers better shows are dun under a sanction body that recognises the tournament has world know refs n judges and they even contacted the board for me but the board decided they wer bigger than all them and tried to take away any little chance of gr8 experience away. Your dead rite, all the people involved made me think it would be fine

Yes, they have Steve Smoger as a ref now - I wonder if he gets fined. Plus the BBBoC sanction a very similar tournament themselves.

I can understand why people think they are sanctioned. I don't know which ones are and which ones are not.

It has been removed. It was placed on the schedule in error by an editor (as was the Haye v Chisora fight). The results will appear after the show has taken place.

What he means is why are they including the Biggers better on peoples records if they dont include ebf or wont acknowledge haye vs chisora , hes not suggesting they do include ebf , thats the way i read it anyway .
