Jack Dempsey – 12 pts

Can Pep offer them all a title shot? First come, first served?
Kid Chocolate is currently ranked 15th... Dempsey is 16th. So, basically you can fight anyone below Kid Chocolate.

Hmmm, what's the criteria here. They're all on the same

Sally is too highly ranked. The up-side to this is that he is ranked contender for three of the major organisations.
The down-side to this is that Sally is inelligible for the WBU and the WTF titles. But such is life...

Sanchez has won more fights that others on identical scores, that was a big bearing in it...

He has more wins than anyone in this group, so he should be top under that logic.

Your making it up as you go along. Funny how your guy is eligible, and on the same points. :shame:

Commish is to be impartial and they're on the same points. Either they're all eligible or non

Well we can look at the level of opponents too. I know we don't but we should. For example Whitaker has 2 draws with Pep, for example and a draw with Ali. He should have won probably all 3. That is worth much more than your Eric Crumble, Zelenoffs, Esch's and Cooper's, surely?

It's things like this which were to be avoided when I was asking how the rankings were going to work regards titles. Response was, it'll sort itself out. Which means Crease will do whatever he wants...

Stick em both in the pool.

I haven't been logged in all weekend, I've been really busy. I was only online yesterday for just over an hour and It was all rush, rush rushin' for me because I had the opportunity for a job interviews (which meant more £££ for me).

But I'll explain my reasoning to you, despite the fact that I don't appreciate your tone, mate.

Back in Week 6, the Title Eliminators were decided. And all the-then top 16 were divided into the 4 major bodies as contenders:

it came out like this:
WBC - Benny Leonard, Abe Atell, Sandy Saddler, Stanley Ketchel
WBA - Ray Robinson, Muhammad Ali, Salvador Sanchez, Kid Chocolate
WBO - Rocky Marciano, Roberto Duran, Harry Greb, Alexis Arguello
IBF - Eder Jofre, Ray Leonard, Henry Armstrong, Jimmy Wilde

(I would also mentionat this point, that if any skulduggery was going on for my part, don't you think I would have given myself an easier draw that Sugar Ray-fornicating-Robinson... Or Alexis Arguello for that matter.)

The title bodies all have their own opinions, as such - the WBC will favour their 4 fighters, the WBA will fvaour their 4, etc... etc...
And it works consistently down the line.
I would also point out that World Bodies have this habit of fvaouring their formber Champions, it's just the way it is, and it's been like that long before TF left...

Mike Tyson was always ranked in the WBA top 10 (sometimes even top 5) when he wasn't in any others...

And another example of this is Nino Benvenuti who was always highly ranked by the WBO.

As for Sally's ranking for this week, here is how I worked it out:

Sanchez pulled out of the title eliminators, the guys who were ranked above him did not..... Not to mention that Arguello got to the final, and Attell and Louis both got draws.

I put Chocolate below him because he didn't get any type of result against Robinson (he was Knocked Out) and I also put Dempsey below Sally because Sanchez has been consistently ranked higher than him thus far all season.

I hope the above explanation is good enough for you, JDC. Because with respect mate, I'm not gonna do it for every - single- decision that I make.

Oops... Sorry, I've got out of the wrong side of bed. Have I become Crease's Crease?

I appreciate the work you put in, but I still have no idea what the criteria for getting those fighters in that order. If there is non, they have to be ranked joint-#X. I understand it's more work that it's worth to workout a splitter everyweek. You said you moved them about because they were the other way round last week, that's no reason in fairness.

Sorry about my approach to this, but I don't know what's going on and I've tried to get clarity on this before now. How will mandatories be decided? Will all the sanctioning bodies use the same rankings?

The critieria for splitters will be the same EVERY week, consistency is key. Sanchez couldn't possibly be ranked above Arguello or Attell - both of whom have beaten better competition that Salvador. And Joe Louis drew against the number one draft pick and is fighting a world title this week, I put Sally below him.

Sanchez will always be held back (a bit) when it comes to splitters because he's frequently fighting unmanaged fighters.

Yes the sanctioning bodies will always partially refect the Official Rankings. But remember I told you that they all of them have their favourites (whom they will tend to rank a little more higly than the others) and ALL of them will favour former holders of their titles.

So yes the Official Rankings will definitely be a barometer for them, but please take into account the whole favourites thing.

Pep calls out both Chocolate and Dempsey then. First to ask for it, gets it. If Pep wins this fight, and Pea wins his next fight then the rematch will happen. Again.
