“In addition to that he has a British Boxing Board of Control Boxer-Manager agreement with allegedly.” Warren said in a statement to the ECHO.

Don't you just love the hypocritical f@cking nature of this odious snake cant....So you f@ck the BBBofC up the arsenal with your Luxembourg Federation dog sh1te and then pull this out in a statement to pin a boxer down...

it used to be the same with don king. time after time he would sign fighters then proceed to rob, exploit, sue, etc. i never understood why anyone was daft enough to get involved. Ive never met warren in the flesh, but from all that you hear and read, i just wouldnt do business with him. hes only powerful as long as he keeps getting signatures....

Thing is he is good at managing a fighters career up all the way upto world titles etc , no one can deny him that .

He does seem to end up in court a lot , now is that him or is it the fighters ???

surely no coincidence the frequency hes in the court room but lets be honest , theres not many boxers that dont do well whilst they are under him , even if it does quite often sour in the end .

Ive often wondered why the brightest mind among them , Nathan Cleverly has never publicly had any issue with him to my knowledge , youd think a maths graduate would know if the figures didnt add up , which is why i sometimes wonder if the blame is not entirely on allegedly , but its all speculation , theres no way us mere mortals would ever know differently until its posted on here .

Surely not as simple as that , he was turning khans career around well after he got knocked out til that all went sour , and he did a lot for Enzo Macarinelli despite him picking up losses .

Edit :
to clarify im not defending him here as i dont know what there is to defend , before anyone takes exception

You've hit the nail on the head there Damian.

Bunny has many good points and has achieved some damn near impossible feats for a lot of fighters. However we also are aware of some of the somewhat questionable and downright nasty things that he has done too.

We all have good and bad sides and I wish that I could say, hand on heart, that I have always done the honourable thing but, I would be lying if I did.

My view is, give credit where credit is due, but don't ignore dirty dealings if they occur.

In this particular case, unless Bunny takes the matter to Court, in which case the whole world will find out what happened, it is a private matter between Bunny and Bellew and people taking sides and calling either party names is pointless until or unless they are aware of all the facts in the case.

I am para-phrasing now, but one boxer said of Don King "it is better to get 50% of a lot than 100% of not a lot" or something like that (I think that it might have been Larry Holmes who said it).

Khan was a cash cow, win or lose.
Cleverly is not.
We can revisit this if / when Cleverly is no longer champ then let's see what happens.

What ever you say about Mr Warren he did a very good job for Bellew and got him the British and Commonwealth belts plus a shot at the World title, considering how limited a fighter Toney is i'd say that's pretty decent but if he leaves then good luck to him.

Contracts get lodged with the BBBoC. As FW clearly feels he can bypass the BBBoC through Luxembourg, how would he feel if his fighters did the same!
FW will go running to the BBBoC to defend his interests when it suits him. I feel he is biting the hand that feeds him with the Upton Park show.

Even with Khan they were making huge losses! But least Khan shows were able to pay the Olympians fees.

Boxing is a bit like a game of cards. You have to know when to play your hand.

My feeling is there are certain people who have played theirs a little too soon.

I'm not really a fan of bunny ( rumpole) and didn't he bail out the BBBoC after the Michael Watson law suit almost (or threatened to) wipe them out? I think I remember reading that the board needed a real helping hand; I'm not sure if it's as straight forward as the BBBoC 'feeding' bunny (or any other promoter); from the outside it looks like a pretty symbotic relationship.

As an armchair fan I feel that if Tony Bellew wants out of an arrangement than he ought to be able to extricate himself; to be fair to bunny though; it is a commercial relationship and though I imagine that Bellew; who is generally in exciting fights; has made his (former) promoter some money bunny et al must have put a fair amount of graft in to it. I hope that it's not the lawyers who come out winning. (Hadn't Gerald McClellan about half a dozen managers/trainers and promoters with a claim on him? I'm sure it affected his career and think I can remember a couple of boxers in legal limbo, unable to box or with their purses held by a court before a hearing).

allegedly is one of the very best promoters out there, name a better one who has a clear history of putting on top fights and top shows on a consistent basis. There are a lot of promoters who appear on the scene and then dissapear.

I am not in the least surprised to hear Tony Bellew is leaving fWank.
The writing was on the wall when he signed to fight Cleverly.
When Tony lost - it was only a matter of time.
As I posted back then .. he was then surplus to requirements.

Two guys in the same division. In these days of austerity .. could fWank really afford to push two guys?

Tony has no doubt done the best as he sees it. I too think he is doing a good move :TU:

Good luck Tony :TU:

There are countless answers to that. Most of them probably require a lawyer though, so I'll leave it there.

I don't know mate - Mr W_rren made Bellew do it the hard way.

First he had to beat the dangerous Atoli Moore, then he faced the big punching stylist bob Ajisafe.

Follow that with a couple of wins (helped by some favourable refereeing) against the world ranked Ovil Mckenzie then surely nobody could begrudge him a World title shot ?

Then after being beaten fair and square, he should have been given an immediate rematch - indeed, he should have been given as many rematches it required until he actually won.

Some promoters can be so unreasonable.

Bripez talking sense, Bellew only got the fight cos he called him an effing rat and kicked off at the press conference. A fight being made cos of a scrap at a press conference, what a disgrace lol.

The reason he hasn't lost in court yet, is because if there is a chance he will lose, he settles before and that has happened on several occasions !
