KFC - The Godfather of all fight nights.

Post by Craig14 »

On there official website. http://www.ducoevents.co.nz

This is there proposed line-up. I think you'll agree it leaves a few questions.

Isaac Peach v.s TBA
Warren Fuiava v.s Joseph Kwadjo
Joseph Parker v.s TBA
Robbie Berridge v.s Daniel Mckinnon
Chauncy Welliver v.s TBA
Solomon Haumono v.s Joey Wilson
Shane Cameron v.s Monte Barrett

Cracking card if it comes off but Mckinnon is fighting Powncenby in a couple of weeks and Chauncy is fighting Sherman Williams in Macau on the 28th June.

Can you really see Welliver fighting in Macau on 28th June and then NZ a week later? Plus he's meant to be fighting Seth Mitchell as well

I'm doubtful Chauncy will fight, have heard rumours of other names also but will obviously have to sit back wait and see.

I think Fuiava VS Kwadjo will be a good fight, probably only over 6-8 rounds both guys deserve a 10-12 rounder good fight none the less.

IF Berridge Vs McKinnon comes off that is another good fight once again probably only over 6-8 rounds once again deserves to be 10-12 with something at stake.

Isaac Peach im not that excited about, cant punch and generally in scrappy ugly fights, be interesting to see who hes matched with. At least hes in shape and looks the part.

Haumono vs Wilson, 2 big heavys going at it but i think Solo should have to much for Joey. Big Joey is tough but unless he gets onot the front foot and starts fighting with purpose i think Solo backs him up all night with joey bocing going backwards and getting stopped late or beaten on points. Decent Heavyweight scrap.

Joesph Parkers pro debut is obviously an attraction depending on who he is matched with of course, that probably wont be announced until closer to fight night as I cant see him being put in with anyone to strong just yet.

Would of liked to have seen some room made for the likes of Steve Heremaia, one of our better fighters

Sounds like it will be Banks vs Mitchell. Which frees Welliver of one of his 'commitments'. Can't see him fighting in different countries a week apart though.

So far Welliver's opponent is TBA on the New Zealand card. Possibly he has two fights nominated in case one does not go ahead.

He doesnt deserve alot to be perfectly honest. No disrespect to Solo but he hasnt fought anyone or done anything........even his name is not what is was given hes been out of the limelight so long. Good on him for getting back in there and having another crack, but as the old saying goes really needs to Sh!t or get off the pot!

:witzend: :witzend: Jamie Ridge, Sonny Boy Williams girlfriend is now fighting some girl from an Aussie reality t.v show on the bill. Hopefully one of them breaks a nail in training, I honestly can't believe there trying to ruin what looks like one of N.Z's best boxing bills for along time.

Don't get me started yid!!! I heard mumblings about this tragic "fight" being put together now it's confirmed i am hitting my head against a brick wall......it's a disgrace!!!

What was potentially one of Nz's best professional fight cards in a long long time with locally based and a select few regional guys who deserved to be on a card of thud magnitude has now turned into a circus like farce with 2 d class celebs whoring themselves out to the media and for attention!!! The fact they will be PAID is unbelieveable and trust me me they will be paid ridge talks of getting outside her comfort zone inspiring other woman blah blah blah would she fight for free like 99.9% of the other corporate style boxers? Not a chance in hell it's all for some attention and cash and a chance to push ratings in her tragic reality shoe with her mother....

A new low for boxing in nz!!

I'm disgusted!

Girls are wearing G-strings, giving NZ Sky's cameramen a chance to adjust their camera focus, before da boyz throw the 1st punch.
