Tony Pace

I've just seen he had a good win against a 'prospect' last night. Saw his fight before with Ronnie Heffron and he looked good. Was this fight televised? How did he look? Only 19 hopefully he'll get a manger/promoter backing him. Would be a shame if he went the journeyman route.

Yes it was televised. Young Robinson tried to box and keep him on the end of the jab but Pace got in and hurt him several times especially to the body towards the end. I completely agree with your comment about him getting a good promoter. He looks like a real good fighter who could go a long way.

:TU: Cheers for the update. I guess after this result he'd struggle to get fights against the promoters home fighters anyway.

Yep, his trainer said that due to the heffron fight promoters did not wanna put him in with any of their prospects anymore. Id be amazed if a promoter didnt take a punt on him now and see how far they can get him, I think he said he doesnt even have a sponsor at the moment either which is a shame. Im also glad he won cos when i mentioned his name in the prospects to look out for in 2012 i was laughed at.

Yeah sadly people do just look at results and records. I remember at 19 I was all over the show and couldn't commit to anything - now I'm 38 and still the same. Everybody needs a bit of a push sometimes and a few breaks....

He reminds me a lot o Peter Vaughan in style and agressiveness, also Vaughan was matched hard at the start of his career himself and caused shocks himself, with the right guidence Pace could do very well, so strong for one so young.

I'm actually a bit disappointed with Peter Vaughan. After seeing him beat Phil Fury with ease he flunked in prizefighter, Didn't look fit at all. I hope he comes good, he's a friend of a friend but we'll see. He'll always be a ticket seller.

We see Peter Vaughan a lot in the gyms in Birmingham, living there now, girlfriend I think, he is a nice guy and a good fighter and still improving, but remember he is still a novice, been looking good in sparring though.
