Carruthers won 60-53. Amar has got some skills but you have got to question his chin especially as he moves up the weights.

Carruthers/Aston for Midlands title would be a good scrap.

Ryder beats Robinson 79-74. Absoloute barnstormer, a good old fashioned war.

Cote is a monster.

As for Bute-Froch.

Lucien wins this pretty easily by KO, wouldn't shock me if he takes Carl out in the 1st rd but more realistically expect the KO around the 7th or 9th.

Agreed - Cote looked very fast and accurate.

Thought the Sky comms - esp. Glen Mc were way harsh; "he'd struggle at British title level - that just shows the level of talent in Canada :witzend:

You think? I think Bute hasn't been in proper world class, we shall see how he fares tonight. I think it could be very close.

Frampton vs Hirales, what do people think? Unbeaten Mexican with a couple of seemingly decent performances on his record.

The odds are interesting on betfair

Frampton KO 1.33
Frampton Points 4.6
Hirales KO 18.5
Hirales Points 46

I've had a little punt on Hirales to be tough and survive and Framtpon to win on points, he's unbeaten and Mexican so one would assume he isn't going to fall over easily.

I don't think much of Cote, meself.

& anyone who believes that Bute is going to be knocking anyone out in the first... I really don't know what to say.

Arf, maybe?

I thought Cote was overly wild, he won that on ferocity much more than offensive skills (although the first knockdown was a pretty nice combo, and I liked the body attack.). He certainly allowed it to get pretty messy when Lloyd decided to start spoiling.
