I'm buzzing about tonight.
Isn't it nice to have a proper 50:50 fight for a proper world title in the UK.
Its a rarity.
Isn't it also nice to get American posters (from this and other forums) complaining that they cannot view this fight. Its usually the other way around. Although, the more I am hearing about Raheem, the more I want to see Morales vs Raheem - alot of posters from the other side of the pond think an upset might happen there.
This Woods vs Gonzales fight though is such a tough one to call, for the prediction league though I have gone for Woods on points. Not confident with the pick, but I'm just going on how Edrei beat Gonzales and the WBO champ has looked since.

There is such a thing as multi-tasking y'know mate, if she's got any kind of respect for you she'll understand. Just chuck her a walkman.nickd wrote:Me too, really looking forward to it. I had the chance of getting my dick wet tonight but I passed it up to watch the fight!
Couple of beers by the river for me then home to watch the season kick off! Clinton is such a geezer he's impossible not to root for. Only his fight with Hoye and Jamie Moore's war with Michael Jones have had me shouting at the tv so far this year.

You'd never have thought the night that Woods came a miserable second best to David Starie that we were looking at a future British, Commonwealth, European and IBF champion.
Against Hoye we did see Woods at his best ever, he looked more than happy fighting at a hard pace for as long as he needed to. He looked like an athlete. Before that I'd have picked Gonzalez to outwork him but now I see it the other way around.

I assume because this guy is potentially a tricky customer? Because I don't know many fighters prepared to dig as deep as Morales does. No matter how hard or how many times he gets hit he always hits right back, standard.stujones wrote:the more I am hearing about Raheem, the more I want to see Morales vs Raheem - alot of posters from the other side of the pond think an upset might happen there.

Yes, thats what they are saying. They think that Raheem is might have the speed combined with being of roughly equal size as Morales could give him problems.Kilburn wrote:I assume because this guy is potentially a tricky customer? They generally see Morales winning, but think its a possibility.
I've only seen Raheem's last fight (on Sky) and frankly don't think Morales has much to worry about - but these guys have seen him more than me. He has a questionable heart though, apparently he wanted to quit vs Juarez.
If it was Calzaghe v Ashira I'd be on her like a rat up a pipe but I cant see how this can be anything but a good fight.Neri1983 wrote:You deserve to be awarded boxing fan of the year for thatnickd wrote:Me too, really looking forward to it.
