No point rematch, Froch just ruined Bute there. A brutal end. Amateur Eddie could have got Froch disqualified there, jumped in to ring during the standing 8. Lucky there, daft ref should have stopped it right there.

Excellent effort by Froch. Froch's people jumped the ring before the fight was over, it could be a disqualification..stupid stupid stupid.

Cote is a monster.

As for Bute-Froch.

Lucien wins this pretty easily by KO, wouldn't shock me if he takes Carl out in the 1st rd but more realistically expect the KO around the 7th or 9th.
We all get em wrong but bloody hell how wrong could you be :D

Wow!

I just hope there are no repercussions for Hearn bolting into the ring.

Unbelievable! Froch is the man. Absolutely my favourite British fighter of my lifetime.

You got to love Froch. His approach to taking fights puts Joe Calzaghe and Amir Khan to shame. THAT is a British fighter to be proud of. It does show how cheap world titles come these days - Bute is a handy guy offensively, but look how fragile he was when he got hit back. He turned out to be not much of a fighter at all. Kudos to Froch.

My prediction was so far off it's embarrassing. Froch what a legend. Bute was never in it.

Feel for Mick Hennessey, Eddie Hearn acting like he's been there from day 1..

Tell me about it, that was a SENSATIONAL Performance from Froch and after the 1st Rd Bute didn't seem to offer anything.

At least we know why Bute avoided the super six - that glass jaw wouldn't have survived it. Another hype job with a title and a bunch of hometown defences.

There'll be no rematch as there was a clause in contract that if either fighter won inside 6rds the rematch claus would be null and void.

Bute did a lot of fainting, trying to draw Froch in, but after a few clumsy rushes by Carl in the 1st, he started to lunge in and timed it perfectly, he just couldn't miss Bute with ANYTHING. Bute took a steady stream of hard, hard punches in 2-4, he kept trying and landed a few, but his trying to draw Froch on to something just didn't happen. He looked out of his depth quite quickly, the reality of all those safe defences at home came crashing in when he met the real deal, Carl Froch.

Just goes to show how great WARD is, even beating Froch with just 1 hand for half the fight.
