Froch/Bute plus undercard results *spoilers*
Re: Froch/Bute plus undercard results *spoilers*
Fantastic performance from Froch. I've been critical in the past - but what a performance..... just fantastic.
Bute was awful, no other words to describe it really.... he just couldn't take the power - it was most odd. I know Sky are making a big deal about Bute never been tested, but even against the relatively limited opposition of the likes of Magee and Johnson - one could not envisage him being so amateurish and poor.
However, lets not turn this into a "Bute is overated" thread. Bute has beaten some solid top ten opposition in his time, and won very well indeed. He was completely out strengthed and made to look poor by an excellent Froch.
A clear clear win, demonstrating just how good he is.
Although, not sure where the future lies for Froch. I'm not fussed about seeing that again in Canada (Froch has his number big style), He still lost heavily to Ward..... Kessler off course, but is Kessler going to stick at Light Heavyweight.

Well done Frochie.
Re: Froch/Bute plus undercard results *spoilers*
I did shit myself though when Mr. Gynocoligist ran into the ring when the ref was doing the count.
But fornicate it, it looed like he waved it off anyways.

Bute did a lot of fainting, trying to draw Froch in, but after a few clumsy rushes by Carl in the 1st, he started to lunge in and timed it perfectly, he just couldn't miss Bute with ANYTHING. Bute took a steady stream of hard, hard punches in 2-4, he kept trying and landed a few, but his trying to draw Froch on to something just didn't happen. He looked out of his depth quite quickly, the reality of all those safe defences at home came crashing in when he met the real deal, Carl Froch.
Re: Froch/Bute plus undercard results *spoilers*
Bute is Froch's Jeff Lacy
he was overated, over hyped, never beeten anyone ect ect ect
this win will fade quickly unfortuantly

He did then changed his mind. Never seen a ref do that before. Can't blame Hearn I guess. The Dark Destroyer wrote:I thought he had waved it off too.Dioufy wrote:I did shit myself though when Mr. Gynocoligist ran into the ring when the ref was doing the count.

Re: Froch/Bute plus undercard results *spoilers*
I think that the referee was poor. He was far too fussy early, and then when the time came to take strong action -- against Bute's relentless holding -- he was weak. Further, he tended to give Bute far too much time when Carl wanted to be on him. Finally, he looked as if he was calling it off -- I definitely detected a half-wave of the hands -- and then seemed to instantly change his mind and go for a count.
Smacked of indecisiveness.
Poor referee.

Agree...Froch just said on EPIX interview that he was hurt a few times in the 1st rd and nearly went down hence why i said Bute wins 1st big but after that he seemed to wait too much with his counter punches and feinting to the point where he got what he deserved.stujones wrote:Fantastic performance from Froch. You should really only employ that style if you have razor sharp reflexes ala RJJ and we all know what happened to him in the end.
