Calzaghe is way gone.

The man is 40 years old & 4 years retired.

Froch would win easily.

Calzaghe still trains and spars a lot. He would still win fight would be at light heavy and Calzaghe too big and too quick for Froch. Excellent performance last night but but is no Calzaghe. I've always wanted this fight to happen I hope it does realistically Froch should try to avenge his defeats so Kessler and Ward. Cleverly would stop him quite easily he's just too slow.

He didn't stop Karpency, Mohammedi, or Bellew, but he'll easily stop a pound for pound ranked fighter with great stamina and durability :TU:

To mention “Big Clev” with Froch is crazy looked what happened to another untested at elite level last night he got brutalised.

I've seen it all now.
Cleverly mentioned in the same breath as Froch.
I give up.
As for Joe, had the fight happened at the right time it would have been a classic.
Not now. Pointless.

I think if Froch was to avenge his defeat to kessler then id maybe put him up there with calzaghe, maybe even above him. Ive always been a big calzaghe fan but sometimes his undefeated record makes people see him as untouchable.
Both great fighters tho!

at their relative peaks, Calzaghe would have stood Froch on his head but good respect to Carl for his warrior way

At no point would Calzaghe have 'stood Froch on his head'.

Calzaghe loved a tear up and there would have been so much needle between them in the build up that he would almost certainly have stood and traded with Carl at times.

Guys of Froch's level don't get stood on their head.

Froch is a small Smw would prob make me quite comfortably. I'm sure the cleverly fight will happen so we will wait and see. As for people saying he will never get stopped he looked in trouble a few times against Ward and seemingly he had a hand injury. I think he may beat Kessler in the rematch that the one he needs. He will never beat Ward. He fought a guy who was protected and that's why he won... Froch is slow and predictable( great heart and work rate but slow) Cleverly is very fast and I agree very protected but he is also very quick and strong. I'm not trolling just my opinion... Why are all English fighters so much better than the Scottish , welsh or Irish?? Then when your fighters get beat its excuses complete idiots

Oh please get to bed, its school in the morning.
Aside from the fact that Froch will probably earn over £1 mill for his next fight, and be fighting 4 levels above Cleverly, do you seriously think that Eddie Hearn would do this for Bunny ?
You are deluded son, deluded.

Only way Froch will get over £1 million is rematch against ward in the states or against someone like Hopkins both won't happen as he would get beat easily in both fights. He will and should fight Kessler in Nottingham won't earn a million and will be a 50/50 fight win or lose he will fight Clev We will see who is right in the coming months

If there is money in it Eddie Hearn would work with FW... Not really anyplace for Froch to go apart from the re matches? Do you not agree with that? Surely he won't fight Ward again? Kessler hopefully will happen. Then where does he go? I think he should retire but my opinion is he will fight Clev.

Leaving aside the general consensus that Calzaghe would have beaten Froch at his best, obviously.
