I agree with this.
Although, even if he had been promoted differently he does not come across in the media as Mr Personality.
If Khan can be promoted as a personality, anyone can.
1) He won the only medal for GB at Boxing (a Silver medal) at age 17 which made most sports fan aware of who he was
2) He is the guy you love to hate.
Any Publicity is good publicity, so paying to see him lose is good enough for Khan and Sky.
Really don’t think he has a chance to crossover even with Eddie now in his corner, it seems that whatever any does for Froch nothing helps, so surely he isn’t marketable like Hatton or Haye, they both have a personality that the British public appear to like, but Froch in my opinion always comes across a bit arrogant but not in the same cheeky chappy way as Haye which the public seemed to liked.
Khan is a totally different story, he was propelled in to the media due to being a medal winner and his exposure on terrestrial TV helped, but before anyone says it, Froch has had his fair share of terrestrial tv coverage during his career so that cannot be used as an excuse, I don't think he can blame Hennessey look at Fury, love him or hate him the general public seemed to have heard of him and he has had the same PR as Froch did when he was under Hennessey.
And I don’t think his missus is going to help him crossover, when do you hear of her unless it is in the build up to his fight, I think it is the case she needs him more than he needs her. It is sad that he hasn’t crossed over but he has to take a large proportion of the blame as well, but that is life, not every sports person is going to be a household name and most of the ones who are, are the ones who make the headlines for the wrong reasons. So maybe that’s what Froch needs to do…….

Too late to be a "breakout" star now.
I don't really agree, it took Calzaghe years and years to gain wider acclaim from the general public and then he finally had the profile by the end to command the bigger money.
Yep - agreed.
Calzaghe only really got massive with the public towards the real end of his reign.
The only real difference is that Froch has already found his level - and its well below the top guy of the division.
Froch has 2 legit losses already. Calzaghe had a clean slate.
