Thanks for footage and you did a great job for the first 3 rds but then things went all out of kilt for the 4th...did you have to hide the camera or something?

Anyways from the looks of it Audley looked pretty sharp although pretty much boxed the same way he did at Prizefighter on the backfoot waiting for his opponent to make a mistake and then boom land that left hook.

all was going well, then the action started in the 4th and you filmed a corner post, then the canvas for a bit

Very good shot of the ring post when Audley knocked Ali down. And a simply breath taking shot of the ceiling when Audley stopped him. Inspired work.

Harrison seems to have a great Left hook.

Imagine how his career would have panned out had he not been so gunshy & timid when it mattered?

I'd respond to you, but it would probably result in some sort of post about you jumping over a table and chinning 10 men in a pub.

Odd that a man who obviously doesnt like fighting would carry on into his 40s (albeit not very shop worn)

Suspect Harrison is a bullshitter who likes the though of being a warrior more than the actual battle...of course he gets credit for climbing between the ropes mind...

It's cool...at least you did get some good footage for first 3 rds, just bad timing that you had to lower the camera just when the KO happened.

My view on Audley Harrison v Ali Adams

Post by stevegoodwin »

Firstly well done to Audley on his fourth round win. He still has the left hand. The fight in full should be on our you tubechannel in the next 24 hours.

Following other posts on here I want to clarify why I arranged this fight. Firstly I felt Audley was the favourite to win so the fight.

I want to be a new style promoter who provides Inspiration to smaller time boxers who want a big chance and would otherwise nor get it. I provide the chance and one day one will take it and win.

I lost money on the show. However being a financial adviser I do
My sums and it was well within expectations.

I will continue to think outside the box and look to give my boxers the chance. It worked when I brought over Europe number 4 Jimmy Colas for El Maachi in Dec 2010. It is a shame he has been injured for last year as I hada world tltle eliminator lined up in 2012.

I just want to be fresh and try but I a
No fool and will do it within financial means and constraints

Its always a risky game nice to see someone in it for the boxers and not just them selves not many would take such a gamble I for one think your doing a great job Steve and you have no need to justify your actions to anyone keep doing what your doing and I think you will se rewards!

Iv always liked to fight on your shows and no doupt with be on 1 again.

Thanks James that's appreciated.

I have no ongoing deal with Audley. Did not even discuss that as I feel it is immoral ( I know this is idealistic) for a promoter to have a foot in both camps.

I think Ali behaved disgracefully at the weigh in. To me doing that is a sign of weakness not strength. He had never experienced this sort of build up before and I thInk it got to him. He is a nice guy but this was inexcusable

None of us were saying anything negative about you or your promotions as you seem a genuine promoter who wants to do things the right way so all power to you and bigger and better shows in the future.

I guess we were all scratching our heads at the match-up as Ali had only been fighting low level journeyman and in all honesty didn't look anything special but i understand that you took a gamble and gave him the opportunity to make a name for himself so from that point of view you did a brilliant job even if it didn't pay off for either of you and at least you now know the level he can fight and compete at.

I think you do have a potentially world class fighter in your stable El Maachi, he may not be pleasing on the eye for everyone but it'd be great to see him against a Top 20 Welterweight next...have you ever explored matching him aganst fellow moroccan welterwieght Said Ouali and would there be a market for that fight?

Did El Maachi win last night, results for undercard not up yet on boxrec.

Also will the fight be on RINGSIDE as some people have mentioned?

anyway congrats again on your show and look forward to next one :TU:
