Fair play to you Steve was a calculated risk and on this occasion it didn't pay off (how many other promoters put their prospects in genuine 50/50 affairs these days?)

It's a shame that El Maachi has lost momentum somewhat due to injury, he was in a good position after the Colas and Prizefighter wins and it would have been nice to see him capitalise on this.

I wish you every success in the future Steve, the game needs more people like you brave enough to take the odd risk.

Steve can you sort out what title if any was on the line as theres been some confussion on another thread.

I thought it was for the southern area title, others think the internatial masters was on the line and boxrec has it as no title.

Steve I applaud your attitude and balls to get these big names to come in and face your fighters, I do feel in the case of Ali Adams he just had no real chance of winning the fight, so in that respect I would call it blind faith rather than any real calculated gamble.

This was not "blind faith" at all. If you look at all my interviews I never ever said I thought he would win. What I said was I was giving him the chance to do something that no one else would have ever given him. I also proved that I will deliver what I say and fulfil my promises.

Yes I lost some money but I showed the boxing world I am a man of my word and will deliver. The upside has been the many boxers either directly or Via managers who want to come on board with GP as we have we do what we say

This was for the International Masters title. It was never for the Southern Area title which is held by John McDermott

When I originally arranged the Harrison v Adams fight many on this forum derided it and said it would not happen and I was just seeking publicity. I proved this not to be the case.

I do not lie. In Dec 2011 I struck a 2 fight deal for El Maachi where the second fight would be for a world title eliminator (a proper one). However his injury scuppered this and this chance has gone.

He is not the most avoided fighter in Britain. He has the most frequent injuries in Britain.

Whether you like him or not that's fine but p,ease do it question whether I am telling the truth. Happy to phone anyone who wants to message me and explain but please don't deride what I say

I'm still unsure whether the El Maachi fight with Ryan Toms took place as it's still listed on Boxrec for 2012-05-26 but with no result...did Maachi pull out injured?

On the bright side. You got some good publicity which is always a good thing. You delivered the high profile Audley Harrison to one of your fighters. Which was a great opportunity for Ali Adams to make a name for himself.

At least you've shown, up and coming fighters you can deliver career making fights.

As for the actual fight. You win some you lose some. Just gotta dust yourself off and get back up again.
