i wouldn't tip him to beat antonio tarver. tarver has better skills and is a hard puncher.
he's capable of beating johnson if he fights like that though. i still think calzaghe on his speed would be the deciding factor if those 2 met.
There was very little to seperate Woods vs Johnson over 24 rounds (I actually thought Johnson won the first fight bigger), There was very little to seperate Tarver vs Johnson over 24 rounds (rematch was close aswell).
Woods appears to be a much better fighter than the one who lost to Johnson and I don't think Tarver can be alot better than the one who lost the rematch. Tarver doesn't work for 3 minutes in every round - his lack of workrate for me cost him vs Johnson and Jones the first time around. Woods I think will outwork Tarver and I think will take advantage of clearing defensive weakness in Tarver.
It will be the hardest fight for Woods, but I think Woods on points.
i think u only have to look at rd 5 of woods-gonzalez tonight to c why tarver beats him. gonzalez got on his toes and brought woods to him and easily won the rd.
tarver fights like that and has much better skills than what gonzalez does. u couldn't fault tarver's workrate in the 2nd johnson fight and i thought he was robbed in the 1st johnson fight.
tarver is top dog until someone proves otherwise and for me that someone is not woods.
Erdei won't get into the mix because he won't fight outside of Germany, he made Gonzalez look like a mug but then struggled twice with Garay so he is inconsistent.
