I think NSW forced him into retirement. I believe he tried to register in Victoria, but no luck.
I guess he's fighting unregistered

FOUR-TIME AUSTRALIAN HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION BOB MIROVIC TO HEADLINE SAMOA FIGHTNIGHT

Press Release: Pacific Rim Boxing Championship (27th May 2012)

Four-time Australian heavyweight champion Bob Mirovic is confirmed to headline the Bluesky Samoa 50th Independence PRBC fightnight in Apia later this week.

Samoa promoter Mr. Tuilagi Saipele Esera said, “It’s unfortunate that Tahiti and Fiji initially confirmed to participate in the inaugural Pacific Rim Boxing Championship in Samoa had to pull out at the last week. It however provided the opportunity for a better card with the legendary Mirovic confirmed to be the main event.”

Samoan heavyweight contender Gogosina Ulutoa has just been handed the biggest fight of his boxing career. The heavyweight contest is expected to be all blood and guts in front of a vocal crowd.

Luv promoter's choice of words :(

What on earth is the Goggomobil a contender for?

What is the big deal about a six round fight?

Tahiti pulled out due to recent death in the ring & will most likely ban combat sport, and Fiji is going through restructuring its Commission 'cos it consisted of duds & cons infuenced by so called helper NZ based judge/ref.....come matchmaker Faiyaz Khan  Maybe I should also throw in Oz based Fijian Lepani Wilson?

Getting back to Big Bob, his last opponent, Alipate Liava, who Bob outpointed over six rounds, has since had 5 losing fights, including being KOed twice by Lucas Browne.

Liapate is 44 years old. After winning his first four fights he has now lost eleven straight. Isn't it time somebody tapped him on the shoulder and said "enough"? :shame:

Amosa Zinck has replaced Bob as Ulutoa's opponent.

Zinck was beaten easily by Jason Williams over 4 rounds back in April, that was his first fight in 2 years those rounds will no doubt have shaken a few cobwebs and he'll be better for it going into the Ulutoa fight which id have him favourite for even on short notice

A sensible outcome. Time for Bob to find something else to do.

Yes i agree TrainInsane, but Ulutoa wasnt a dangerous opponent for him, certainly not a Alex Leapai or someone of that calibre. Ulutoa is not a heavy puncher and very limited. Having said that it is fight sport anything can happen. But the matching on paper wasnt actually to bad. Certainly not saying it was going to be a ripper fight or anything just a evenly matched one given Bobs age, ring wear and Ulutoa's limited ability

As you said 'anything can happen' and it's far more likely to happen when you are 46 than 26.

Im of the thinking it can happen at any age, however bob having been through ALOT more wear and tear and battles than most 26 year olds its more inclined to happen to him.
