No Maccarinelli this weekend?

Post by My T Sharp »

I would have thought he could have earned a few quid and got a bit of exposure on the Cardiff bill?

Anyone know if he is injured? or is he waiting in the wings just in case Canatore pulls out again?

Probably wouldn't get alot of exposure though. Its on ITV not Sky and only on for an 1 hour and 1/2. So expect lots of Amir hype, lots of Calzaghe hype and the two fights. When the Calzaghe fight finishes early, then maybe we'll get some of Jones vs Docherty. Not saying I'm dissapointing if this is how the show is presented, because ITV is introducing Calzaghe to a lot of new people.

I haven't read of an injury, but it could be your latter suggestion.

He will top the bill on his own show, in his own right. Khan will support.
Two shows instead of one (eggs in one basket sit :TU: )

On the ITV schedule they just have Khan at 10.40 and Calzaghe at 11.05 so your right about the exposure Stu, also I think the Calzaghe fight will clash with Match of the Day, which isn't gonna be great for the casual viewers who will probably opt for highlights of Man U Vs Man C and Spurs Vs Liverpool.

I just thought a cameo for Enzo would be nice, like he did on the Hatton bill. A one or two round knockout might catch the attention of the casual viewer.

Hopefully he can top a show soon, only three fights last year and two this year...but I suppose that's the frustration of the Cruiserweight division.
