I read with interest on secondsout that Haye is currently on a holiday in Cyprus DJing, that fight academy have won purse bids for Gurov fight and that poor David is still feeling a twitch in the hamstring. Rates the Hobson fight 50/50 to go ahead at best.

Re: DJ Haye
Gotta agree. How many times in British Boxing does a fight get contracted only for something to then get in the way of the fight upon which one of the fighters subsequently does a runner?jimmy from the green wrote: One word: WANKER
The same thing happend with Herbie Hide and Danny Williams. I think Jess Harding won the purse bids for the vacant EBU or EU title only for Hide to lose, in a warm-up fight, on a TKO due to a bad cut. Herbie then goes and starts crying and semi-retires for the next year-and-a-half.
The likes of Hobson-Haye and Hide-Williams should be described as the "lost fights". Whats the chances of Calzaghe slipping a disc after tonights fight, thus having to miss the Lacy fight and then conveniently moving onto a new challenge at Light-Heavyweight?
This is ridiculous. Why is Haye on holiday when he's meant to be fighting Hobson? If it's not going to happen (which sounds likely if there's already talk of a Gurov fight) why has Haye badmouthed Hobson so much, talking about "knocking him out for the nations Grannies", etc? And if he's not going to make the rescheduled Hobson date, is he going to reimburse Hobson for fornicating him around twice? And why has Haye got a shot at Gurov ahead of the British and Commonwealth champion?
Haye - Hobson HAS to happen if Haye is serious about the fight game, surely? Sadly, I'm increasingly of the opinion that he just doesn't have the dedication. More interested in looking good than fighting. Which is fine, except he's built up the Hobson fight for a long while now.
