Is this being billed as a British eliminator? This is a cracking fight. Chris has looked very good of late.
Im not sure at this point, eithier way id think both fighters could be in a position to fight for the title should they win. :TU:
JLD beat askin in a title eliminator so the board wouldnt sanction another eliminator without JLd having his title shot which could be a while if enzo is out and doesnt vacate.

becoming a good competitive division which JLD will rule for a fair while yet :bag:

According to the local paper the other week he was no longer tied to any promtional company and was due to be fighting at York Hall a couple of Sundays back. Reading Boxing News and it talked about the show but made no mention of him so I assume he didn't fight.

Title should be given to shane and he should box who he wants. No such thing as a 2 min 18 second round, unless someone gets knocked out, which they did. Robbery isn't a strong enough word.

This doesnt surprise me at all. Remember Frwank trying to make Bruno vs Harrison and harping on about Brunos amazing fitness just prior to him being sectioned. The only honour known to Warren is filling up his bank balance, to call him a slimeball would be a insult to slime.

We are looking forward to the fight with Simmons, he is a decent technical boxer with a good Amatuer pedigree, but we feel Chris is the fastest developing cruiserweight in the country and would not be out of his depth with anyone in the division domestically. Chris did fight Shane once as a Amatuer and it was a bit of a stinker, Chris was a very raw novice and went away got some more experience and came back to win the senior A.B.A's & Nations the following year knocking everyone out at heavyweight and producing probably the 2nd best k.o in the aba's just behind Tony Bellews k.o of Jon-Lewis Dickinson. Chris has been Sparring Macrranelli for his last 2 fights and he did hurt his hand last week, how bad I don't know but bad enough to end the sparring and no more since. Enzo is a honest decent guy. Chris also sparred Shane for his fight with Williams and Shane knew he was in different terrortory with Chris to when they fought as amateurs. Yes in a ideal world we would like more experience for us that is the only down side but with the division the way it is you have to calculated jump at the chances and has I've said Chris is the most dangerous Cruiser around and considering the calibre of sparring his had including Tony Bellew, Chris has always more than held his own and never been out classed or out gunned. We're very excited about this fight and can't wait, for me Chris, Simmons & Dickinson are the best in the division anyway, no disrespect meant to anybody.

 I like it Billy, yh it's gonna be a good scrap and in a way it's a shame it's not for a title to be honest, but it's my job to come up with a game plan of A, B & C and as much as i like Simmons I see a good few flaws and we will expose them on the 22nd and in my opinion we won't have to move off game plan A  :box: I like to try and be a good honest decent person who doesn't like trash talk which is one of the reason I don't post on these sites often has it usually leads to people talking rubbish and going off what the original thread was about, so I will end on this note may the best man win on the night, but here's a hint for those who like a bet put your money on the A.B.A & Nations champion :TU:

I completely agree with this and am surprised that more people are not stating it in those terms. I think it is because Enzo is such a nice chap and he obviously did nothing wrong and McPhilbin does not have massive leverage that it has been somewhat glossed over by the Board. But that fight was no way for a title to change hands. Shameful if/that the result stands.

As you said it - that's no way for a British title to change hands.

What disgusts me even more is everyone's "oh well" apathy towards it. I've spoken to numerous people 'inside boxing' about it, and they all nod in agreement that it's disgraceful. Then they shrug their shoulders and say fvck all about it.

If people inside boxing just accept this stuff, then it'll become more frequent and even less people will give a fornicate about the sport that they are trying to make a living from.

shane was 18stone5 when he beat chris and was only a stinker because chris lost i av got it on dvd and shane totally outboxed him. I like chris he is a nice honest guy to mention or name drop sparring a bit low really as what happens in the gym stays their is that not a un writen rule of boxing? Shane as only fought 4 out 11 fights with losing records and as been the home fighter on 3 of is fights. Shane is the top cruiser in britian with jld aswell and thats because he does is talking in the ring no matter if simmons or keane wins that still av not got the right to say there best till they fight fight a few top cruiser not just win one fight. The point am getting at is that you can overhype a fighter then when they fall its harder to get bk up let they find their own path.

No 1 is hyping any body up, there's been no derogatory comments about anybody the facts are has I've stated in my opinion only that I feel Chris, Simmons & Dickinson are the best young fighters coming through, end of. And about the sparring I simply said that Chris has never been out classed or out Gunned so no one was name dropping. Chris does his talking in the ring as well, and for me part of my job is to sell the fight, promote Chris name. And Chris's opponents have been better than most of the others in the division have faced, not naming anybody, I.e Chris 5th opponent was a boxer who had fought Dereck Chisora & Sam Sexton 4 months prior at heavyweight and took them the distance in there 16/17th fights something around that anyway and Robert helinius, Alexander frenkell plus many more and Chris dealt with him easily and hurt him when ever he wanted too when he felt like turning the tempo up, so he has fought decent opposition for so early on in his career. Shane is a nice guy and it was terrible what happend in the Macrranelli fight, I feel for him and hope he gets his chance at redemption has he deserves it, I like him and this is a business it's not personall. Everybody is entitled to a opinion, everybody is right, everybody is wrong.
