You're right, Mormeck was due to fight Lebedev and not Jones...got mixed up. It was in BN this week.

Mormeck has zero appetite for combat nowadays. Despite perhaps being Fury's best name on paper, I suspect he will be easier than Rogan.

I really can't see it being Mormeck.

He's 40, so the BBBofC may not sanction it.

Hennessy usually picks opponents who are easy to sell. Unbeaten, dangerous etc. Mormeck is neither.

What is the BBBofC's problem with boxers in their 40's?

Why do they feel the need to flex their pathetic muscles all of the time?

They might accept him, but tend to turn down fighters of 40 or over mate.

He just fought Wladimir Klitschko for a world title three months ago. How can they reject him?

They are crazy.

I know, it's bonkers mate. I always go back to them turning down Frans Botha as a Fury opponent. Because he couldn't fight Fury, Botha fought and beat the unbeaten Flo Simba.

I can understand them rejecting someone on health grounds, but rejecting someone simply because they are in their 40's is out of order.

Aren't there anti-discrimination laws against that sort of thing?

For a governing body, I think we need to ask, are they best serving the needs of the sport? Ian some respects, they are, but in others, they are not.

Was that THE Flo Simba?

Is there any possibility of the Board rejecting Mormeck? Botha hadn't won in 2 years when he was rejected

This fight is only 5 weeks away. Shouldn't they be announcing his opponent with a bit more notice than this?

Is Fury already in training for this fight?
