Allegedly Intends To Sue
Re: Allegedly Intends To Sue
i wonder how it would go down in a court of law, warren is within his rights as a licence holder to do the fight with the luxembourg backing as long as the EBU recognise them.
but with the EBU suspending them i dont know if he has a leg to stand on

Perhaps FW will claim a verbal agreement with Robert Smith!
I guess if FW loses he will just dissolve the company and not pay like last time.
I wonder how keen the board will be to relicense him then!

I can see them coming to an agreement at Chisora's appeal hearing. However, I do think he has become obsessed with this and forgotten he has numerous other fighters to look after( i use look after loosely if u believe some things that are about) still no news on Groves/Anderson, Burns, Cleverley.

I can see this happening. It'll be interesting to see how it goes though with neither side wanting to lose face. Something has gotta give but who's prepared to take a backwards step/give ground?smoggy7188 wrote:I can see them coming to an agreement at Chisora's appeal hearing.

The fans will be the last to know this; allegedly is putting the whole future of that channel he has on this one fight. Telling fans the fight is off now would be bad for that channel's subscription base given hardly any "big" fights to entice the fans over the summer.hal73 wrote:So will the fight still go ahead?
Im sick of this man bringing down boxing.

I dont see the point of bringing a court case cos surely it would take months to decide the outcome. If he loses it will be the end of them, it will cost a fortune.

"I will support all others" - now really that needs clarifying.
Is he saying he will fund all boxers costs in pursuing / defending actions against / by the Board ?
I support a few boxers but I wouldn't give them a no win / no fee deal on this one.

I think that is the point. If fwank can keep the show together and pull it off, and its successful, the landscape might look different afterwards for both parties. Whether Chisora wins or loses, fwank probably won't give a toss if Del-Boy gets suspended for six months, or six years. Ditto for Haye, who, win or lose, will go his own separate way anyway. Fwank would probably accept a fine from the BBBofC too, it would be the least of his worries if allegedly ends up with record levels of subscribers.smoggy7188 wrote:I dont see the point of bringing a court case cos surely it would take months to decide the outcome. If the wheels come off the promotion and it gets scrapped, who knows, maybe his empire goes down the swanny. I can see why he's getting the lawyers in. I think he'd do just about anything these days to keep the wheels turning on the big July show. He created allegedly with some big hitters, he admitted they were far more wealthy and connected than him. I bet he's losing sleep over keeping them reassured that the show will go on.

If they get 500,000 subcribers thats 5 million but thats not all profit take the costs out lot of advertising to getting that number. The money left after that the channel probbaly lost more than that already. 95% of new subcribers will leave so back to sqaure one when will be the next big fight.JimJim2009 wrote:I think that is the point. I reckon that many of the subscribers may well have their subscription rolled over for the next month too!

Completely agree but when you're in the sxxt you grasp at anything.... and there's nothing else on the horizon that could attract that much attention, subscribers, and money. Better to have (say) half a million subscribers and retain a minority of them in the subsequent months, than to soldier on with tens of thousands of subscribers, losing money hand over fist each month (if that is what is happening).leforge wrote:If they get 500,000 subcribers thats 5 million but thats not all profit take the costs out lot of advertising to getting that number. Haye and Fwank hated each other for years, I can't help but wonder if Haye would need much of an excuse to pull out of this fight and send Fwank down the swanny ?
