Good win by Lucas, hopefully the big fella does well over there. Id say he could make some good money in the UK with his KO power if managed right.

Stopped the Holiday Camp boy in 4 rounds, knocking him down four times in the process.

Big Daddy is still undefeated with 12 scalps on his belt.

Is he going to have a series of fights there, rather than a one-off?

There's already talk of Browne's next one over there in June. I guess it will all come down to whether he keeps winning?

not to rub anyone up the wrong way...buuuut

lucas browne is a bit slow and wont make too much of an impact in the uk

hes basically another dave ferguson....maybe a bit better ..but would get outworked by everyone from Towers upwards.

a few good fights would be Dave Howe, ali adams, gary cornish,

skelton and sprott are scheduled to fight soon....id like to see either of those two

List of guys with losing records anyway. Next up he's fighting a German for the European title.

He is fighting Michael Wallisch, rated no 6 in Germany with 8 wins over people with poor or padded records.
( The Klitschkos are not Germans, they are Ukrainians who live in Germany).

It will be interesting to see how Browne progresses over there. Good that he's signed with Hatton :TU:

Lucas fights TBA at the Manchester Velodrome on June 16.

Busy boy, TBA. On the night in question he fights 7 blokes of varying weights. Two weeks from the program you would think the promoter would be better organised. :shame:

I think it's pork Pie Hattons promotional company, Ausboxing reported how Hatton was impressed with Brown's ability to entertain and has been asked to come back for a few fights.

I think he needs to come back and fight a few of the better heavys here in between trips to the UK, it would help him heaps.

If you have won ten fights at Heavyweight in Australia you have just about fought everybody at that weight here. A lot more heavies in Northern Europe.

I would like to see a Huomono fight, If permitted De Mori or maybe even Chauncey! Just saying that a completely cooked Wilson isn't the bench mark here atm, there are much better fighters.

i wonder how successful Jeff Fenech would have been if he had not fought overseas fighters early in his career?

He might have dropped his zero earlier perhaps. But I don't think anything was going to stop Fenech from making a huge impression and winning world titles.

He's spent the past month sparring with Richard Towers and David Howe at Brendan Ingle's famous Wincobank gym. He has a fight lined up for the June 16 card. Original opponent broke his foot I believe.

Could he have seen some of Big Daddy's fights and decided he would rather drop a brick on his foot than fight him? ;;-)

Umm, have no problem with him fighting blokes from other country's, it's just Szigeti, Wilson(well worn version) or that other tall drink of water from England that get's knocked out from pillow fights(nice bloke i'm sure, just saying!) isn't cleaning up his own back yard.

When you're at Bantam in this country, you can win the Australian title in your first fight because ther's normally 1 other registered fighter in that division....Fenech obviously had a great team that nulified that problem, and Fenech had a country behind him and i don't think he left until Azumah 1, don't qoute me.

For me, if Browne wins his next fight in England, and his ego is fed too much, he may be lulled into fighting someone that he shouldn't be in the ring with just yet, and find himself and his English career in tatters.

My point was, great exposure, but use that to come back here between his fights there and fight a top 5 fighter here, i heard he was keen on a Leapai fight at one point, and i dig that enthusiasm but really not there yet, so maybe as i said fight a couple of blokes just below that level and set up that fight.
