Which British fights/ers could sell out the M E N arena ?

I agree it's not cheap, but I still maintain it's reasonable, hotels are an option, most football fans drive home the same day !

thats because most matches are done by 5pm not 12pm,1an even 3am in some big fights

But most boxing fans follow there favorite and that's only when they get to a good level, I went to 10 naz fights in a row, 6 or 7 hatton fights in a row, now I follow haye, over the last 15 years it's probably worked out to an average of 3 or 4 fights a year, even if it was £200 including hotel, food, petrol/diesel etc it's still not bad if it's your passion, if your attending 20 plus shows per year obviously it's going to be expensive, my last fight was haye in hamburg my next is haye at west ham and I will try to get 1 or 2 more in this year ( would love to watch froch/Kessler in Nottingham if it happens ) and maybe price v fury if it happens, I'm really looking forward to Frankie Gavin getting to world level, he will probably be my next long term fighter to follow, at the end of the day we all have different circumstances, I'm fortunate to have a little bit of money ( by no means a lot ) but my mrs won't let me go to too many !

If you are cheap, you can go to the boxing cheaply on a regular basis. Mate of mine would regularly get the cheapest tickets possible, used to do my nut in.

If its small hall cheaps ok, if it's a big venue cheap is ok for a massive fight because it's the atmosphere your going for, if it's an average one it's better to watch on tv unless your personally supporting someone.

Security needs upping big time at the MEN. Old women dressed in yellow aren't what I'd call security. So much trouble at every fight... don't know why the police don't charge them for extra cover if they/the promoters can't get their house in order. That's what legally has to happen in football matches since a law came in 5 years ago (or so). Should be rolled out to all sports, imo. And if it is, someone isn't making sure the obligation is fulfilled.

The Katsidis/Burns card was supposedly a sell-out, but I saw plenty of seats empty.

Really?! I didn't even think they pretended it had sold out!! There was loads of empty seats for that one and the arena wasn't even fully open. Although I do remember when watching it back afterwards they kept saying something about the trains being muicked up - as if that was the reason for it not being full.

Brook vs Hatton pretty much sold Sheff Arena over 9000 tickets sold

so think Brook vs Khan would deffo sell out the MEN with a great undercard for sure
