Isn't the Babe Adams on Agromonte's record supposed to be Baba Adams?

I know that but I never heard of Babe Adams. There was a heavyweight of that time named baba Adams; baba also fought an exhibition with Jersey Joe Walcott, etc.

I suspect this is an error in the ring.

Basicly I agree with your opinion and respect your knowledge. But I would check with Matt who entered Agramonte-Ansel Adams, KO 8 in Trinidad 021448. Ansel Adams was from Trinidad but made his career in Great Britain 48-55. My guess is Ansel Adams with a unknown alais as Babe.

Your guys guess is as good as mine. I probably took that out of the 1952 RRB.

I looked over my records ans some Ring magazines --

It was indeed "Baba" Adams not Babe.

Baba had exhibitions with both Walcott and Joe Louis by the way.

The Ring Record Book, 1950 edtion; Gentile Daniel, Trinidad

1947, July 18- Ansell Babe Adams, Trinidad.....W 10

I thought it was Ansell, called "Baba", in exhibitions with Walcott?
