Anthony, about now you could have redeemed your reputation.

Does Anthony take advice anyway?
Re: Trout wins Easy!
Watched the fight, it's a very winnable fight for Mundine, vs Trout, that demolition we all bore witness to against Lo Porto didn't happen today, nor would it again.

No offence to Frank but he was never really a contender.Hounddawg wrote:Watched the fight, it's a very winnable fight for Mundine, vs Trout, that demolition we all bore witness to against Lo Porto didn't happen today, nor would it again.

I concur! Love to watch him fight though, just not when he's in the ring with world class fighters.
As much as it pains me to say, This weeker version of Mundine would roll Trout. Alverez will anihilate Trout.

Re: Trout wins Easy!
I think you are right about Alvarez annihilating Trout. Trout looks to be just an honest workhorse. Can't imagine why Choc ducked him. Trout has a title and a win over him would have done much more for him than a win over McKart.Hounddawg wrote:Brute wrote:No offence to Frank but he was never really a contender.Hounddawg wrote:Watched the fight, it's a very winnable fight for Mundine, vs Trout, that demolition we all bore witness to against Lo Porto didn't happen today, nor would it again.

I think the advice Mundine has had has stood him in good stead.
All those fights over the years on PPV; he must be loaded.
And victories over a couple of blokes who get nothing but praise in here.
I can't understand the blind hatred for him in here.

Not sure how saying he should have fought a titleholder in Trout instead of McKart amounts to blind hate? Am I missing something here?Giancarlo wrote:I think the advice Mundine has had has stood him in good stead.

Re: Trout wins Easy!
Each to their own Giancarlo! Yes he is loaded. But does that suggest in BOXING terms that his opposition of the last few years has been nothing short of BAD and yet he still prattles the same horse dung over and over and over ie gonna fight the best, my faeces dont stink, Mayweather is the only fighter of my calibre etc etc etc. No doubt there are some haters based on race, some based on the crap that exits his mouth(that seriously only teenage gang banger wannabees would buy into) or some based on the facts that he has sold so many of his fans down the drain and has insulted boxing time and time again.
Not fighting Trout was lunacy if he was actually serious about doing what he has preached ad nauseum for years but NOT delivered. He has become a farce.
And i reckon he could have been many times richer had the last years of his career not become so stinky. I stopped going to pubs personally to watch his fights after the stench of the Geale fight. Multiply that by many(those who stopped buying the PPV which generally have always been rubbish but ... and those like myself that stopped going to pubs to watch the PPV).
I am not a blind hater. Just being objective as a fan of boxing. To say he has delivered is much like saying the Aussie cricket team boasting they are the best and the greatest and the most supreme team of all time and then playing only Canada and Holland in test matches!!!!!

You make some good points, JSA, and it's a pleasure not being referred to as a pommy b@stard or a turd for voicing an opinion.
My main point was in relation to the statement that he had not been well advised over the years.
We can all say he should have been more humble like his dad, he should have fought all the guys he talked about fighting, he should have taken better care of the fighters on his undercards etc.
But he didn't; and that was part of his marketing appeal. People wanted to see him beaten and it got them to cough up their money.
Don't think Main Event put of all those mid-week PPVs at a loss.

There isn't that much mention of him really. But I think I know what you are getting at. Which fight do you think he should have taken, the unbeaten Trout for a title or the over the hill McKart?Giancarlo wrote:Sorry, "in here" meant "in this forum".TrainInsane wrote:Not sure how saying he should have fought a titleholder in Trout instead of McKart amounts to blind hate? From my point of view or his?
As a fan, I'd obviously like to have seen him fight Trout for a title. Preferably on a big card in the USA.
But from his point of view, as with all fighters, it should be risk versus reward. If he can get as much, or almost as much money, fighting McKart then I can understand why Bronco will get the call.

But if he's looking to penetrate into the US and get his name known there surely winning a title against the undefeated Trout would have been the way to go?Giancarlo wrote:TrainInsane wrote:There isn't that much mention of him really.
