Spencer Fearon.
Spencer Fearon.
For some reason gets on my tits.

Bit harsh in itEddy wrote:For some reason gets on my tits.
Re: Spencer Fearon.
His boxers talk highly of him, but anyone who wears a bow tie apart from a dinner show or trying to get into a top casino is a dick, I personally find him annoyingEddy wrote:For some reason gets on my tits.
Re: Spencer Fearon.
Just watched him on Ringside. Not my cup of tea at all. Comes across as a knob IMO. I wish Nigel Benn would return back on TV as a commentator or appear as a guest for boxing shows instead of this prick.

Re: Spencer Fearon.
What's with the image Spencer's trying to get across to everyone with the bow tie and jacket. Prick!!!

Re: Spencer Fearon.
Annoys me too, reminds me of Delbert Wilkins.
Re: Spencer Fearon.
Louis Farrakhan comes to mind.
Re: Spencer Fearon.
Didn't like his commentary to be honest, but he's a gent in person. It doesn't take long before he starts doing/saying the sort of things that make you realise why his men speak so highly of him.
Re: Spencer Fearon.
An annoying plum.
Re: Spencer Fearon.
Can't stand him, ruined the huck afolabi card the other week with his jafaican jive talking.
I got the impression that john rawling found him a tad annoying too.

Re: Spencer Fearon.
He seems harmless enough - but appears to be getting some 'hard knocks' on this thread
Although I always expect his dickie-bow to start spinning round, water to squirt out of the flower in his pocket and then his car to fall apart.

Re: Spencer Fearon.
This thread is in poor taste to be honest, but as it is here I will just add my two pence. Seems a good guy but the commentary on the afolabi card annoyed the hell out of me. As I said at the time, he is not on 'the endz' so he should have been more professional. But perhaps they wanted him because of his irreverent style. You never know
Re: Spencer Fearon.
I can remembr the Afolabi bout and commentary; Spencer is very sharp and seems naturally intelligent; he has a bit of the Don King about him though. I imagine he'll relax and be himself rather than where he's from in time. He can read a bout, knows his stuff and has to remember that he's commentating and remarking to people not 'from the hood', not posh and not thick; there's no need for long words or a dickie bow tie. I hope he gets time to settle in; he doesn't seem a bad man; he's trying too hard.lefthook82 wrote:This thread is in poor taste to be honest, but as it is here I will just add my two pence. Can I be the first to say I'm actually a fan? Great pundit, good style, as one would say in the ends to ones brethern, he has swag.

I can understand that Don; but when you're not from the ends he does not have swag; he can be himself and do well or he'll play to the ends and get dumped; simple really.The_Don1 wrote:Can I be the first to say I'm actually a fan? Re: Spencer Fearon.
I can see where you're coming from, but to me he's a character and has charisma to boot, if he's not your cuppa tea (and by the consensus on the thread hardly anyones cuppa tea) you could be right.palooka wrote:I can understand that Don; but when you're not from the ends he does not have swag; he can be himself and do well or he'll play to the ends and get dumped; simple really.The_Don1 wrote:Can I be the first to say I'm actually a fan? Re: Spencer Fearon.
Been thinking this for a while now
Re: Spencer Fearon.
Sometimes a different voice and style can do really well but only when it offers something new; a new insight or way of looking at things. If Spencer were a Rasta talking in patois then his time would be limited unless he offered a different and fresh point of view. Slang and 'in terms' can be very endearing when you are a part of the group but alienating when you're not. Spencer really seems a sharp tack and it will be pleasing if he does well; he has to please and cater to the majority of vewers though ,The Don. I think he can do it, lots of boxers speak well of him but he has to cut the gangster shit.
Re: Spencer Fearon.
He's been a true gent whenever I've met him. He's generous and always trying to help good causes.
I'm not a fan of his media persona but he doesn't come across the same way in person.

He's been nothing but courteous whenever I have met him.
Re: Spencer Fearon.
I really like the guy he's a new breed.
