Woodhouse v Miles

Post by palooka »

An excellent bout on tonight; Curtis Woodhouse v Dale Miles. This is a very good match up style wise and has a lot at stake. I've not seen a great deal of Miles but he looks every so strong with a good right hand punch. Curtis has improved and gained in confidence. Who's going to win this one? (Pity it's not televised).

Yep, good match up. Can't decide who wins tbh, although Sod's law means all this talk of "judges not required" points to a distance fight!

It's a shame we'll only see the result; both seem good lads and both know they're in for it. I know Curtis comes on here and think he'll have to keep his head moving to win :box:

Apparently Mansouri/Graham was a right tear up.

Credit to Dave Coldwell and his team for this one - was an amazing night of boxing and this should have been on TV - watch Ringside thursday as think they are showing highlights

Chad Gaynor and Hosea Burton fight were good too

Nav Mansouri vs Nathan Graham was amazing clash - Nav out boxing and out gunning him on a number of occasions always sempt to get hurt Graham but then would be back in for another tear up again before been stopped towards end of 6th.

Curtis Woodhouse vs Dales Miles - was better than was predicted for me, massive fight, atmosphere at ringside unreal as Curtis was boxing/jabbing Dale but then when they went into war Dale came off on top - think curtis put on facebook that he has a fractured cheek bone too.

Dale Miles also looked HUGE at the weight, great night and good to see team GB boxing team there too supporting, Tommy Stalker, Anthony Joshua, Callum Smith, Kell Brook, Kid Ghalahad, Ryan Rhodes etc too

ive got to say it was a pleasure to be involved in Curtis and Dales fight last night if it were shown on TV it would easily have won FOTY,Dale had every physical attribute going for him and must have been a good 10lbs-14lbs heavier in the ring.
Credit to both boys who showed balls of steel last night your both a credit to the sport.
The whole show was brilliantly run and full credit to wee dave for that! :TU:

That sounds like a real tear up and both boxers ought to be proud of themselves; a real shame it was not shown on TV; did Eric Guy video the bout?

It would be in with a shout because both landed flush shots. At one point Woodhouse got hit with a straight left down the pipe and I was surprised that it didn't put him down. He held on for a few minutes then as soon as the got a bit of space between them he started throwing his own bombs.

Miles was huge on the night, but he also took some flush shots and Curtis looked frigged in the corner after the second, Miles looked the same after the fourth and when the finish came, and not for the first time in the fight, Miles looked like he could get done as he had gone on the backfoot and was shipping shots along the ropes.

The only quibble, and this isn't anyone's fault, is that people got so carried away they kept jumping to their feet, so that obscured the view of the finish for a lot of people.
Sounds like a good one, thanks for the description.

Excellent fight. Based on what I saw, Adil Anwar would box Miles ears off.

You have the temprament of a champion Curtis; well done on your part in (what sounds like) a great bout. I hope you get a shot at the title; I'm sure there are to be a few twists and turns yet. You've proved a lot of people wrong. It's a pity the bout wasn't televised and that more boxers had your class. Well played :TU:

Mansoori V Graham Was Not For The Faint Hearted. Unbelieveable Tear Up. Both Fighters Gave Everything. Type Of Fight That Boxing Needs. Well Done To Both.
