Anyone else picking Bradley?

Post by Mensa07 »

I like Bradley in this one. I'm not a Pac hater & know how formidable he is, just think style wise Bradley is, if not 'wrong' for Pac, then certainly 'different'. Margarito, Cotto, DLH, are all (relatively) big, slow targets for a guy like Pac to tee off on. Bradley is fresh, fast, smart, and fights 'small', so shouldn't be as easy to hit. Hungry too.

Aside from Bradley's attributes, and Pac's wear & tear, it's also just a hunch that there must be a new cycle due soon in the top p4p lineup. Guys like Bradley, Ward, Alvarez, are the next generation, first they have to spank the old generation though (Ward aside).

So anyway, I'm going with Bradley to either win outright, or get jobbed on the cards. Actually I've even put a daft tenner on a draw @50's in case Bradley's head ends it early. :DD

Anyone else making a case for the upset?

I'm a little baffeled to why a lot of people are giving Bradley a real shot here based on it seems how Pacquiao looked against JMM last time out.

Apart from the 1st round of their 1st fight he has never really looked all that against Marquez.

There's nothing that stands out for me on Bradleys record that would make me have a punt on him, imo the value lies with backing Pacquiao via KO/TKO @ 13/8

it is only a matter of time before manny and floyd are deposed. bradley seems the best candidate for the job. he seemed to be acting a little green at the weigh in yesterday though, wheras manny has been there many times before. in the past bradley has done what he has needed to do, so if he keeps his cool and uses his head he just might do it. Im a fan of both fighters and genuinely hope the best man wins. I keep swaying between two scenarios...lloyd honeygan v don curry and ricky hatton v floyd mayweather. im not comparing bradley or manny to any of these fighters but it seems to me that it might come down to exhuberance v experience once all the other factors have been cancelled out. i think we may need more than one fight between these two ...

I watched Bradley from 5 feet away, when he took Witter apart in Nottingham for the WBC belt.

I also met him and his dad at the weigh-in. He is one strong looking mutha and iron-willed. Devon Alexander is a talented boxer, a southpaw with great hand speed and he couldn't do anything with Bradley rolling in and unloading from the outside.

To add to the prediction - Pacman looked very ordinary in his last fight - his physique looked extremely flat too on the stage compared to his 'heyday' and I forecast another pedestrian performance.

Whether he gets a gift is remained to be seen.

Winner aside - i smell something fishy is going to happen. Like a DQ headbutt against Bradley, a draw or some other irregularity.

Haven't liked Bradley since he dodged Khan. I fancy Pac Man to stop him from 9-12.

To be fair to Bradley, GBP tabled the offer during the summer he was leaving Gary Shaw & Thompson Promotions.

GBP put the offer to Gary Shaw, who's deal had expired with Bradley and his manager Cameron Dunkin was already paving the way for a lucrative Top Rank move for him.

I believe Bradley splatters Khan. Even more so how Bradley played with Peterson, then Khan went life and death.

I like Bradley in this fight too. This is his opportunity to really make big money and will have made the absolute most of his training camp. He's also fresh and has no wear and tear on him. Pac has had a lot of tough fights and I think this could be the fight when he goes to the well and find there's no water left.

Looking at the weigh in, Pac doesnt look like a super fit fighter, he just looks like a fit guy. I think the distractions in his life may be taking a toll and Bradley might squeeze out a super tight decision.

First time Bradley has met a world class puncher, be interesting to see if Pacmans power unsettles his usual rythum

i'm going for an upset in this 1 going for bradley on points got it at 7/1 in the bookies well overpriced he's 3/1 just to win the fight unreal odds pacman hasn't been his best in the past few fights so hopefully bradley can make him pay tonight if he's slack.

i think people are reading too much into pacs peformance against JMM, he's always struggled with JMM. I think pac will win fairly easily.

Yep - another one here who thinks Bradley out-works Pacman.

I think Bradley is very under-rated. And he may just be catching Pacman at right time.

Anyone else think that Pac finally finding some 'inner peace' may adversely affect his boxing? As in have less hunger for it as his priorities have clearly changed recently.

Could be one of Pacquiao's best victories not saying a devastating KO (although don't rule it out) just think if it comes to either outboxing or stoppage it's gonna be in Pacquiao's favour.

Broke even. Had 200 on Pacman ko after round 3 when he clipped Bradley good. Once I realsied this wasnt happening put a tenner on Bradley at 20/1 in round 11 and tenner on the draw
