Paddy Power refunds losing Pac-Man bets

I'm presuming their liabilities were tiny but, still, that's good PR.

Yep they call it a "justice refund".

Surely sets a risky precedent from their point-of-view, though?

They'll just refund what they like, when they like...mainly when not many people have had bets on it (as I'm certain was the case here). As I said though, great PR.

I'm not trying to promote them but they do this kind of thing quite often. I remember when a horse I was betting on got loose and ran a full circuit of the race course. The horse should have been withdrawn but they put the horse back into the race and of course the inevitable happened. He came dead last! They refunded me my losing bet 30 minutes later.
