The Australian Bureau of Statistics surveys 60,000 households four times a year. You can be prosecuted if you refuse to take part. The Australian Government (regardless of who is in Government at the time) get their figures from the ABS.
Morgan's mob ring up 1500 people (at most) and never tell you how many hang up on them. Morgan predicted the Liberals would win the 1972 election because they thought the DLP would do better than they did. Their parent organisation in the USA, Gallup Polls, did not give Harry Truman a chance of winning the 1948 US Presidential Election.
In 1989 Allan Jones broadcast that the then Soviet Union was running out of oil. This was the plot in a Frederick Forsythe novel (a novel is a work of fiction). Somebody had sent it in to see how gullible The Parrot was. Russia is still one of the World's biggest oil producers.

Gee, Brute, it's lucky we have you here wasting bandwidth stating the bleeding obvious every day.Brute wrote:Russia is still one of the World's biggest oil producers.
Don't you have any friends to take you out for a walk?
Re: billy " the kid " dib
Do you listen to that Jones poofter? A friend of mine once sued him for libel. He did not have the balls to turn up at court, just sent a solicitor with a cheque book to ask her how much she wanted.

Alan Jones did have a minor involvement in the boxing game as one of the funders of Mundine's first fight, which was famous for all the palaver.
For Alan, things got a bit tacky when he asked the Mundine camp to commence paying back his fiscal input, but the boxer's bean counters considered it a gift.
Not to press things further, Alan quietly withdrew from the ring of fight funding.

Re: billy " the kid " dib
Alan Jones the former F1 world champ...is a poof?
Re: billy " the kid " dib
Wrong Alan Jones - The F1 driver no doubt still takes the wheel, whereas the shockjock: Alan Belford Jones (the most sued radio person in Australia and one-time Mundine supporter) has his own male chauffeur!
Re: billy " the kid " dib
How people would listen to Alan Jones I would never know. People hate that Kyle bloke for being a knob was Jones is even worse, especially as he is trying get people to take what he says seriously
Re: billy " the kid " dib
Dib by unanimous decision.
Re: billy " the kid " dib
Thought that was a great night of fights, Dib is fast becoming one of my favorite fighters world wide to watch, his hardest fight in years, well deserved victory.
Brunker is cannon fodder for Dib, he lost that fight tonight, not by much, but i thought he lost by a point. Great fight never the less.
Really good card, i suppose Dib vs Brunker will change up Dib's diet for Mexican atm.
When is Paul Fleming going to fight someone, 15 fights and still no one even ranked in the very thinn Australian rankings. Someone FFS.
Dib needs a fight or 2 before Russel, Salido or John.

Re: billy " the kid " dib
I agree Houndog, Great action packed fight.
Re: billy " the kid " dib
Riovalle did himself no favours getting the referee offside and losing points. I thought the Billel Dib /Kim fight could have gone either way.
Saw the Premier sitting in the crowd. Must have got a free ticket.

Yeah i agree Brute, Thought the Australian title was heading for South Korea, another blight on Boxing.
Bilal Dib, is very, very easy to hit and needs a major make over in his style, or Billy Hussein can be honest with himself and give one of his more promising fighters a go at him, like Fleming! He aint going to win world honors so gput him up against Fleming.
Brunker still lost on my card with the point deduction, Riovalle was massive, and Brunker needs a new style, my Mrs said at the start of the 7th, Brunker wanted out. Salido would murder him, so he'll may as well have a crack at Dib, who will also murder him, at least Joel can save time by doing it in his home country.
Don't embarras yourself Joel, stay in Australia for a few more fights first, you are no where near ready for the states.
Re: billy " the kid " dib
Agree 'dawg. i thought the big downer on the evening was the standard of refereeing during the Brunker bout. To take a point from the mexican was a joke. He continuously cautioned the mexican and at one time threatened him with a dq for what ?? Brunker was infringing as much as the other guy. Totally disgraceful, bias ref in my opinion.Hounddawg wrote:Thought that was a great night of fights, Dib is fast becoming one of my favorite fighters world wide to watch, his hardest fight in years, well deserved victory.

Thumbs up to both Dib and brunker for taking on such creditable and capable opponents.

Fair play! My first thoughts were.....why! Cheepens the title.
Very close fight between the 2.
Dib vs Brunker
Bilal vs Fleming
Please make it happen in 2 -3 months.

Yeah amwsnw, it was a downer, and pretty disgraceful refereeing, i thought wow, on TV in front of the Premier, no surely! Still think Riovalle won by a point. Brunkers eye should have been enough to have the fight stopped in the 6th and the last 2 rounds went to the Mexican.
Dib should be commended for his recent opponents, and to Brunker for his hardest test to date, but on that Brunker needs a hell of a lot of work still. If he go's to the US now, it may end him and his career, he needs another 4 or 5 opponents like Riovalle, each fight being a step up from the next, Like Dib has done and Tomlinson is doing currently.
I hope he takes some honest advice from people close to him and not the people who are telling him he's ready, theres still room for improvement and still time to work on his flaws. In saying that boxing needs fights like Dib vs Brunker here in Australia to keep the wheels and movement going, as more and more people start to come back to the more even and entertaining fight cards like the one we just witnessed. It would be a good expierence for Brunker, without losing too much.

O'Farrell would not have known what he was watching.
He was probably waiting for the dance to start.

Re: billy " the kid " dib
Dib is saying no fight between him and Brunker as yet.

Re: billy " the kid " dib
Brunker is not ready to fight for a world title.
By the way, who wrote the story about this being Dib's first fight as World Champion? Don't his two title defenses count?
Why bother saying an overweight match is not a title defense?

Re: billy " the kid " dib
Not me! I must of missed that in the article. But generally the editor is spot on.
Re: billy " the kid " dib
I thought bunker lost clearly. I thought dib fight could have went either way. I suppose a tough fight like that was good for dib but I still think he struggled against world class opponents.
Re: billy " the kid " dib
Rounds 3 to 8 were pretty clear for me. But it was his toughest fight since the IBO fight years before.
Re: billy " the kid " dib
i think dib looked 10 times better when dib did what dib does best on hes toes moving side to side he hit the bloke every time ..... then hes trainer told him to stop it sit low n trade blows dibs a mover let hime move ....
... joel bunker had a very tough nite n will be a lot better for it .. big step in class me think hes last oppent had 14 fights for 7 wins so joel did very well .. i dont think many aussie guys will be rushing to bring out mexican fighter again .. lol
