Ronald macintosh !

Post by jessi »

Met him after a Kevin Mitchell fight in wembley a couple of years ago and what a lovely guy !
Remember him on the BBC when Audrey harrison and David haye turned pro.
I think his a very knowledgeable man, hope to see him on tv more.
Thoughts ?

Big Ron is a very nice fella. Big. Very.

Absolutely loves his boxing, a proper nut.

Ronald is indeed a top fella.

He borrowed me one of his shoes once to go canoeing in, that's just the type of guy he is.

I'm a fan of his too.

He does seem like a nice guy indeed.

It's a shame that the BBC dropped boxing because we don't get to see him that much now.

You can still hear him a little bit on Radio 5 Live, but he doesn't have a front line role unfortunately.

Seems like a very nice fella and is clearly knowledgeable. BUT, I'm not a huge fan of his delivery, seems very jerky and forced, doesn't seem comfy in front of a camera.

Ron is a massive old unit. Stood at the back of York Hall near him and Larry O at last Kev Mitch fight at York Hall, and he has to be mid 6 foots at least.

Also trivia fact for you - he was the TV commentator for the Mahut Isner tennis world record marathon at Wimbledon last year and was covering his first ever game of tennis at the time. BBC have a policy of keeping the same commentator if a match goes into a second day etc, so big ron had a massive baptism of fire!

Loves his boxing but is a bit of an all-rounder - liked the Milner comparison!

I'm 6'5" and he dwarfs me. I've been in Vitali's presence a few times and I reckon Big Ron is taller.
Yer I would guess his around 6'9" to 6'10". Hope to meet him again !

Ron's a top chap. Saw him at seni the other day. I reckon 7ft.

As Alex Ferguson once said about Dion Dublin's tackle: "Magnificent"

Good man. Any advance on 7' 1"?

I'm out. Can't take that heat. There must be some brave souls out there.

I will pass on Ron's accurate BoxRec height to him, personally - you have my word.

F**king great bid, fella.

I'm closing the bidding at 9pm as that's when Big Ron goes to bed. His 11-hour sleeps are one of the reasons why he's still growing.

Hang on a minute

Are we measuring Big Ron in the morning, or at night? Its a known fact he's a lot taller in the morning.

Post-morning yoga session, i.e. his tallest possible state.
