Lets hope Collingwood can stick around and Pietersen can make a few runs. He's due a big innings!

And this sort of situation is exactly why Colly is in.... he didn't make anything in the first innings (7)... so he owes some runs.

fornicate runs he just need to hang about. Pietersen is in the groove lets hope he can make a few more!!
I am glad Pietersen is trying to score now, that his natural game after all sticking around and defending is not in his nature.

He's been stuck on 79 for a while now.... he must be as nervous as me
Just lined up a 4pm finish for me today.... so will hopefully be home in time to see us seal it... if we do that is

My nerves are settling down a bit. It would take a tremendous fuckup to lose it from here.

Aussies “shouldn’t” be able to chase down 250 now. If we get that, they’d have to basically play Twenty20 cricket, and hope not to get out.
47 overs after tea isn’t it?
If Pieterson & Co can bat out 15-20 of those, the Aussies are buggered. It would be an incredible run chase to achieve.

Lets hope we can bat out most of the rest of the day, if we can get a lead of 270+ I think the game will be safe.

England have WON I'm telling you.
That's a near impossible run chase for the Aussies now. They would need to play 35 overs of near perfect Twenty20 style batting to claw that back.
I don't think so....

Pietersen has to be the man of the match here, as good as Flintoff has been this match Pietersen's innings looks to have won us the series here.
He hits the ball harder than Flintoff!

I think Pietersen will go on to be one of the best England cricketers, he's had some start to his test career.

A well deserved series win. Outplayed for the most part. Well done
Is England now the #1 team in the world and will they dominate the era?

Nick boyo,
You say you are welsh but you post stuff like this about the team that just won the ashes. OK, I know they have a few ringers in there but...
"Looks like we will retain the ashes"
