yeah. Team Lee had a worry that Chavez's gloves might have been light.

The asked the commission to weigh the gloves. Team Chavez refused and left the arena.

By all accounts JCC Jr had a hard time against Zbik. Why is Chavez allowed to put on so much weight before fight night. Didn't Salido lose his title because he put on so much weight before fighting Gamboa?

Having not been a fan of JCC jr in his early days, he has come on though. I think he might have a bit too much for Lee here.

Laurence Cole, the ref, also owns a boxing-insurance company, whose main customer is the WBC.

Cole's dad, Dickie ran the Texas commission to his own means. And the pair have been linked to numerous fixing rumours.

Sulaiman is alleged to be godfather to Chavez snr's kids, and the pair have had a close friendship for years. Hence Chavez getting a shot at Kostya Tszyu despite being ranked 33rd in the months before suddenly being slotted in at 2nd. This was despite him being at 147 for the previous two years and losing most of the contests at that weight to journeyman.

Chavez jr was banned for using a masking agent/ diuretic about 3 years ago. Yet his last fight in Texas was controversial because NO drug testing was carried out. Afterwards Rubio stated that Chavez was the 'biggest, strongest middleweight he ever faced' and he's fought Pavlik, Lemieux and everyone.

It's just too fishy that the WBC stripped dominant Martinez - and this guy, a laughing stock a few years ago is now knocking over people left right and centre.

They happily shafted Pacman, one of the biggest names in the sport last week... They'd not think twice about shafting Lee no matter how big he wins.

He needs a KO.

Yes but that is due to the IBF having rules on how much weight you can put on between the weigh in and the morning of the day of the fight. The other orgs (including the WBC) don't have the same rule.

Gutted for Andy Lee. Fought a great opener but didnt have the strength to hold JCCJ off any long. Once Lee's jab lost authority it was a green light for Chavez.

I had it 3-3 after 6 rounds but getting caught against the ropes too frequently was the undoing of Andy.

Well done Andy and good luck in the future. Julio Cesar Chavez Jnr wins by 7th round TKO as Lee ships unanswered shots against the ropes.
