That was classic...I had to go back and see it again because I thought I was going mad. But yes, he wants his lights up in name alright

The amount of times Johnny Nelson makes a mess of reading the autocue is funniest of all!

Also the amount of times he repeats a question to a guest that someone else has asked is quite funny.

The episode where the boxing writers were on discussing their top 10 fighters of all time. They all basically spoke about how modern day fighters need the benefit of time to be really appreciated. They discussed it in detail. Poor old Johnny was obviously memorising his next question in his head as they were talking as the minute his time came to talk he intensely and so enthusiastically asks: "how will modern day fighters fit into this list then?" :witzend:

I think if they all just talked about it as they would in a pub they'd be a lot better instead of alwayus trying to talk over each other. Nelson, Mcrory, Mcguigan they're all terrible at it. They always try and have the last word and say something that contradicts each other. I think they actually try and make each other look stupid, that way they get on the show again. It's terrible the way Nelson, Mcrory, Mcguigan try and speak over each other. I'd stick with Moore, Oliver and the guests.

I'd like to see more of Richie Woodhall. I think it's funny when Nelson asks a random question that makes no sense and the recipient just looks blankly at him before randomly saying anything in response

That happened last week when he asked Spencer Oliver a question and spencer repeated the question really confused.

Ringside is leagues above most other sports magazine type shows imo i llike the off the cuff comments and banter. Every time i watch an interview on sky sports news with a boxer i cringe and wonder if anyone there actually knows anything about boxing.

I like Ringside, it's more professional than Bunce's Boxing Hour. Speaking with fighters on the phone works for his Boxing Hour on the radio but I'm not keen on it on screen.
Ringside is also a lot more interesting than the rugby league magazine show Boot's n All which is pretty boring.
I suppose it's all subjective really...if you don't like the presenters you're never going to like the programme....which is why I'll always refuse to watch anything with Ant and fcking Dec in it!!
