Quarry throws him a beating. Knocks him out in four.
Straight up and down amateur style, even with good power isn't gonna be a problem for Quarry who fought the best, seen all styles and belted out some of the best punchers in the division.
World class amateur losses to world class pro in this one.

Yeah, it's a different ball game as Jorge Luis Gonzalez showed. An outstanding amateur with wins over Biggs, Bowe & Lewis, he flopped in the pro ranks.

A tangle with Quarry could have taken a few years off of Stevenson's life expectancy.

I always go with a seasoned pro over a guy who never fought past three or four rounds. Stevenson loved to drop in that right hand. If he were more mobile I might say this would give Quarry problems early on but Stevenson typically stood right in front of a guy and used his size and reach rather than his feet. I think Quarry would be banging that left hook up and down all night long. The body punching by Quarry would be a big factor as a lot of amateurs dont see a lot of bodyshots, much less have to deal with sustained body beatings over 10 or more rounds. Yeah, the more I think about it the more I think its a no brainer in favor of Quarry.

Teo couldn't even deal with Igor Vysotsky in two different tries.Quarry has him out of their in 2 1/2 minutes before the first round even ends.

Are we assuming this would be Stevenson first fight as a pro? Then Quarry would have had a huge edge. After say 4 years and 20-25 fights as a pro, who knows. We simply have no idea how good Stevenson would have been. Could have great, could have been another Jorge Gonzalez.

Agree, only to add, he probably would have at least been very, very good... I'd bet great, but who knows...
