While i agree he needs to step up i think at this stage sprott and Big Mac may be to big a leap from the level of guys hes been fighting
in my view his next 2 fights should be Dave ferguson and Carl Baker , if he does well against them which i anticipate he would id then start to look at people like john Mcdermott .

He's from the area im from,anyway i dont think he can fight mcdermott next as big larry is fighting him for the southern area title i think.
He is good and have interviewed him and met him and he's a breath of fresh air. He doesn't talk crap he seems to have his head screwed on and he feels ready for anyone he's not bothered who he fights. Like him and think he's a good fighter too. He'd walk through Carl Baker and Dave Ferguson though. I think you could put him in with anyone because even if he lost I think he's got the kind of mentality where he'll learn from it and come back okay and do better next time.

interviewed him?who do you write for/work for?P.s i agree as person he seems like a cool and down to earth guy who wants to be the best he possibly can but doesnt take boxing for granted and knows that you can be be knocked out pretty easily especially as a heavyweight.

While i dont doubt hes got the abilty to beat them the guy still has to step up gradually , if its too big a leap and soemthing goes wrong that hes not prepared for it can all go pearshaped , this is why its an awkward situation , im criticising maloney in one thread for not matching them hard enough but then in this one telling people to slow down a bit , if Dallas fought baker and Ferguson in his next 2 id agree hes likely to beat them but if he went in with a brawler like Rogan next it could all end sour as we know Rogan has a big heart , we dont know that yet about Dallas
Looked strong quick and very sharp getting better all the time a true prospect that needs steping up now, a little more faith in his ability's should be shown by his managment
ive said it before i see tom dallas as the real cream of the young british hw crop. in time i see him usurping tyson fury with ease.......chisora and big larry and dallas will dominate british hw boxing much like danny,sprott and skelton did the last decade

I have to be honest and say that i dont see larry doing much and i feel bad for saying that because he seems like a cool guy
I agree and hope he proves us wrong, he seems really down to earth and willing to invest in himself which is a great characteristic i just fear for him technically. Ive seen Larry live 4 or 5 times and he has great power but not much technically and therefore I think he will get found out by good fighters. I think he will struggle greatly with Big Bad John. This will be a good test..

Proper fight Larry, fair play to you for taking it mate — shows an urgency and ambition that seems to be lacking in some of your contemporaries (or their handlers).
Separate point, re Michael Sprott: Seen his name mentioned as a next-up first for Price, now for Dallas, but to my mind neither is ready for him yet, he's too experienced and still has a bit too much left. Maybe by the end of the year, on their current learning curve.
Yeah Sprott's still a banana skin waiting for the likes of Price, Olubamiwo and Tom. Also think Larry's got tough one on his hands against McDermott but also think he could do him early. Toss up. Larry's a bit older and hasn't got as much time to wait so fair play for taking a gamble.
Dallas is one to watch and they can take a bit of time but one I really feel for is Price who should have been developed far quicker having been an Olympic medallist who looks like he has all the tools (although I just get that slightly fragile feel about him when I've watched him live on a couple of occasions).
Boy did I get this wrong and Im still bemused at to how Dallas has had it all fall apart so sonn
I really felt Dallas had the size and the skills and tools and felt in time he would add a lot more.....right now he looks a busted flush destined to be a journeyman. So sad......i felt he could be Gerry Cooney like if he had gone to the states and got the right trainers

Maybe, but I think Dallas makes a lot easier work of him than Towers did! Looks like he's been convincingly beaten by anyone of note he's faced and we all know that he should have stopped Towers. I stand by that IMO Dallas beats Towers.
