Cannonball Cameron tight at the weight

Post by dondada »

Didn't make the 160 limit first time around but put in a bit of graft and came back bang on.

Should be a cracker, very annoyed I can't make this.

Good luck all :TU:

Didn't Liam miss a fight recently due to being overweight at the weigh-in?

Good luck tonight Liam!

great fight with some tasty undercard fights.

I had Jez Wilson up 4 rounds if I am honest.

Liam can come back though for sure

Seems as though coming in over weight took it's toll.

liam has moved to a new inexperienced trainer who has been very critical of his previous conditioning, fitness etc.....he then fails to make the weight for 2 of his fights

Max Maxwell said Jez is the strongest man hes fought. They savaged each other for six rounds and neither gave an inch.Wilson is not someone yr going to just box round and not get into a proper fight with.

On the afternoon of the fight, BBC Radio Sheffield played an interview with Liam's manager, Dennis Hobson. He claimed that although the Ingles keep churning out champions, Clinton Woods has more credibility as a trainer because he's won a world title!

By that logic Mike Tyson is a more credible trainer than Emmanuel Steward.

Ha ha - and Alan Shearer a better manager than Jose Mourinho.

I think that Liam needs to think long and hard about his direction going forwards. He needs a proper, experienced trainer in my opinion. Not long ago people were talking about him as a future champion. Now he's getting beat by kids like Wilson and Ochieng. With the greatest of respect to those two individuals - both good kids, no doubt - if you are going to really do something in this sport, you don't get beaten by lads at that level.

If Liam wants to win a British title he needs a re-think. Either something in his training set-up / lifestyle isn't right or he simply doesn't have the raw material.

I sincerely wish him all the best for the best for the future and hope things work out as it is a great shame when someone doesn't reach their potential.
