I had Lee a round down, gave him the 1st and the 5th and scored the 2nd even, although from the third onwards he was fighting a losing fight, lost his snap in his punches very quickly and couldn't box and move for sustained enough periods. To be honest Lee's best win was against McEwan and he didn't look very clever in that fight anyway. He's a proper middleweight but bar that he isn't the fighter his ranking suggested.

Chavez weighed 160 and then came in at 182lb for Rubio.

Chavez has served one ban for masking-agents, caused controversy for leaving 5mins after Rubio fight and thus missing doping test. Then last night said he was 'unable to provide' a urine test.

FFS.
Are you sure Bute weighed as little as that? He was 182 lbs on the night for his first fight with Andrade.

The irregularities definitely need looking into. Lee is fine boxing and moving but when he stands his defence is absolutely abysmal + short punches aren’t on his CV, so I’m not surprised he got thumped. This result will 100% flatter to deceive, Chavez will be in big trouble when he fights one of the division’s elite.

I tend to agree with your assessment until it is looked at under the specific controversy now surrounding the fight. Lee started out the first couple rounds moving well, had quicker hands & feet, & had a great jab to work behind. It looked like it could be one sided if Lee could sustain. He could not, not by a long shot. At first, I though he just changed tactics beginning in rd 3 & decided to slug it out with JCC; which the entire world knew was a mistake. But Lee disagrees with my assessment. He claims that Junior was just too much, he couldn't move him with his punches, his best shots weren't having the desired effect, & consequently, he couldn't keep him at bay. Now if JCC is doing something untoward & should be fighting at light heavyweight, what does that say about Lee? He's not as good as the best light heavyweight? Why is Junior the only middleweight who weighs as much as cruiserweight come fight time? How would that fight have looked if Junior was 20 natural pounds lighter, If Lee's punches moved him, kept him from walking right through, & even hurt him? What we saw was a talented fighter get beat by a bigger talented fighter.

Despite what Dan Raf is saying, there is still a great deal of controversy about the test,

Whether Jr is clean or not, his team, the commissions, the WBC are just not doing him any favours with this preferntial treatment.

Chaves put on 20lbs between weigh in and fight.

The only sensible thing to do is weigh the fighters just before they fight. The current system is insane.
Thats what caused so many injuries in the first place and why they changed the rules to day before.

True but something has to be done. I think the IBF have a rule that you can only put on 10lbs between weigh in and fight maybe this should be adopted by all organisations. Chavez coming in as virtually a cruiser in these fights is just ridiculous.

Same for everyone i guess. But i know what youre saying, do you remember scott harrisson wayne mccullough?!? There was an interview in boxing news afterwards where mccullough said "i thought to myself theyve changed the opponent or sent the wrong fighter out cos that aint the same guy that was at the weigh in yesterday" - harrison was putting 10-14 on at superfeather wasnt he. Thats a welterweight come fight night, and mccullogh had barely put on a couple lbs.

What was lee's weight before ring walk?

I watched that fight last week. The tale of the tape had them same height nearly same reach but Harrison looked like a monster compared to McCullough. Dont know how he ever made feather.

The fighters were getting injuries because they were loosing too much weight just before the weigh-in.

The sensible thing is to monitor the weights of the fighters in the build up to the fight and make sure they are healthy, but when they they start the fight, they must weigh under the limit.

For example, if Chavez Jnr can't make 160, then he needs to move up in weight. It's that simple.
