ITV have just announced a 12 part series featuring former WBO Super Middleweight champion Chris Eubank.
The series will feature Chris Eubank as the owner and proprietor of a Youth Hostel in his home town of Brighton. Eubank will feature each week dishing up food, as well as his own unique brand of philosophy, discipline and political views to his captive audience.
The idea from the show first reached ITV executives from an episode in the spoof sitcom "I'm Alan Partridge."
Head of comedy programming Evan Thomas was a big fan of the show, and during one of our weekly brainstorming sessions, the idea had come to him whilst perusing one of his extensive collection of Alan Partridge videos.
"I was sitting there chortling to myself during the scene where Alan is trying to convince the fictional head of BBC programming to give him a new series when it came to me. Perhaps this one's got some legs."
"Chris is a well known personality inside and outside the sporting Arena, and his individuality, flamboyant persona, and off-the-wall views make for entertaining viewing, as the success of at Home with the Eubanks demonstrated."
The series is expected to commence filming in the spring, and is expected to be aired in a prime-time thursday evening slot.
As far as I recall from the article in the local rag its not a holiday type hostel but a YMCA sort of place in Brighton. So he is helping out disadvantaged youths that sort of thing.
I just can't believe how many mindless media lead sheep there are in this country at times. It's really worrying.
I live right on the main road in Balham and there's a big Tesco petrol station, yesterday they were queuing to get in there three abreast blocking off the whole road. Never ones to miss an opportunity there were about half a dozen old bill along there checking everyone's registration numbers and tax discs. Good old plod!! Meantime there's all manner of crime going on while they're in jobsworth mode!
Its a pretty good place to live, close enough to central London and plenty going on down here. Used to be a right shithole years back but its pretty good now.

They've cleaned all that up now mate, Hildreth Street Market its called now. They still have the banana cabaret on at the Bedford, not a bad boozer actually. I live in the posh part obviously!
